but the thing is, most watchers loved jiyoon for her truthfulness 😭 mnet was trying to edit it like they want everyone to turn to jiyoon, but it backfired 😭😭 it was so petty but thats just human tendencies.. it was honestly so refreshing to see someone break beyond the idol stereotype, like she was in FULL survival mode in this survival show
Yall are just so gullible to think mnet didn't want her. They wanted jiyoon to make it from the start. they're not stupid, they know how to manipulate viewers and create storylines. If they actually didn't want her in the group they would've edited her out. What's worse than an evil edit is no screen time. they gave her such a good enemies to friendship storyline with jungeun and a fabulous improvement redemption arc that it was impossible for her not to make it, and they knew that. You guys fall for it every time. Still, doesn't mean I dislike any of the trainees. I love the final lineup. I'm more so frustrated at how easily manipulated everyone is.
eyes, nose, lips was actually a song taeyang wrote for his ex who at the time he had just broken up with and the woman in the poster on the mv IS HER, the song was literally the most popular song in korea that year so she said after they broke up everywhere she went she heard the damn song. fortunately they got back together and now they are married and have a daughter together
Literally one of the craziest pieces of kpop lore. Imagine having a giant poster of your ex burning in the background of a music video for your song about heartbreak.
The music video assessment for “ear nose throat” was absolutely hilarious knowing what the videos actually about 😭 the woman on the billboard behind him is his now-wife. They broke up for a brief period and the song was about that breakup
hearing you say you liked fine more than eye nose lips hit me like a rock. eyes nose lips was life changing to me. it's one of the best performances ive ever seen in kpop and in general. it's defintely one of the best performances from a survival show for sure. it cleared my skin and made me get accepted into my #1 choice university. but slay we're all allowed to be wrong sometimes
Fine was fine for me. But eyes nose lips made me CRYYYY the first time I heard it. I haven't rewatched fine since the episode but eyes nose lips is basically a daily watch for me lmao
I had to pause when they announced the song choices because they are all my favs. Ears Nose Lips is literally what got me in to kpop 10 years ago, and Sugarcoat was in my spotify wrapped last year
for me jiyoons struggles were less about smiling or the concept of more about struggling to get back on stage after her drop to ground. She had lost confidence in her own skills, (she got comments for her voice being too unique which could be interpreted as standing out too much) and had lost trust in those around her (seeing everything as an individual challenge which is why she’s was terrible leader).
I think you guys missed the reason Jiyoon was crying post Ooh Ahh. She was so upset because the judges said she didn't work hard enough while she did in fact try very hard, she just wasn't able to show it on stage.
placing the main character is so interesting. For starters, I've never seen the show and I also don't know the line up. It's gotta be someone who has rises and falls. I almost said Saebi (but I'm a little biased because she's my fav), but she doesn't really struggle, Juwon might be it, unless Jiyoon has a redemption. Every episode caters to Jiyoon in some way (for better or for worse lol) and now, she has an emotional arc with Jungeun. But! I also don't know if people hated her during the taping, soooo haha
SPOILERS My prediction for the protagonist is probably Sarang. She started off strong and then kind of dipped, but internalized the feedback well and made a huge shift to be "I" Sarang instead of Yoo Sarang lmao

I was honestly shocked that even kfans were on her side lmao, but I'm glad

@@Sean-jy1vs you also literally just spoiled her storyline with jungeun in that comment lmao.

The song is so iconic for that era more emotional than it’s not fine

eyes nose lips was something else felt my whole world change after it i am streaming this cover to this day😭
opinions exist for a reason 🙂↕️ i liked fine more too
This episode changed everything for me. Jiyoon literally has the craziest character arc in a survival show imo.
Seeing you react to Jiyoon is bringing me back to how I felt watching this the first time, so entertaining but giving me hives at the same time
haobin Legendary pc in the back got my attention LOL.
Omg I did not notice that. Like it’s insane but I love that for them. It’s the pc of all pc’s.

can't wait to see bora's shadowed bob during the boys love survival show therapy segment
