I grew up nearby, and I admit, I don't recognize a lot of it, but I loved the seals. Pretty sure they were gone by the time we moved out in 1979. I lived not too far away just off of Heil and Beach Blvd.
Amazing video. My great grandparents used to take me there often. Would you mind if I used a bit of it in a Knott's Berry Farm tribute video on my amateur channel. I would credit your channel. Thank you for uploading this incredible footage
We lived in the next town over and we had a rooster that crowed all the time so my parents made me take it to the lake at Knott's and dump it off. I had just gotten my driver's license and I was scared that I would get arrested for leaving the rooster. The drive over was fun though listening to Crocodile Rock. The boysenberry pie was fantastic. Great memories.
Hi, I'm putting together a video about the Everly Brothers. They had their huge falling out during a performance at Knott's Berry farm, in 1973. I was wondering if I might be allowed to use this as stock footage for that video?
Yes amazing footage. I was there at that time! My aunt’s house was next door. So it was always a monthly place to go as a kid. If you noticed? I didn’t see any black people in this video? Funny because back then they were not there. Now it’s unfortunate you watch the news and they have overrun the park and have had nothing but fights and crime. There is now a curfew.
I hope there's a trigger warning on this video because there's gun fire we don't want to scare any of these little children that can't handle some fun at knots
I used to work there from 73-76, it was a fun job, and I got to meet so many fascinating people. Thanks for the memories!
Did you know Ronnie Morgan? He played the good guy then villian at the Bird Cage Theater around that time
@@WhimsyMeadows No, I didn't know Ronnie, I did know some other people who worked at the Theater. Those years were so much fun!
I grew up in OC in the 70’s and Knott’s Berry Farm was so great back then. My aunt worked at the chicken restaurant back in the 50’s.
Wow!I remember going on all those rides and taking pictures with the 2 ladies on the bench!Good times
I was 10 at that time and remember it well.
I was 10 as well, so crazy.

I don't mind at all. Your welcome!
Good memories 👍😘👍
Grew up nearby. Knotts was so quaint back then. Not competing with D'land it was low tech and charming in the way low tech can be.
