Manny P the difference is that a criminal uses weapons to harm officers and evade capture where a cop uses his to protect the community and risk his or her own life in the interest of public safety. I think context - as always - matters.
@Manny P Actually most police accidental discharges actually happen when cops hurriedly pull their weapons from their holsters. e.g. Oscar Grant. Having the weapon out allows them to focus on the THREAT or NON-THREAT rather than panicking about getting their weapon on target to defend themselves- which results in bad decisions. They CAN handle the job, but by necessity of logic, they need to be in a position to react faster than potential threats, since, unlike the threats, they have to REACT to the threat. Since the initiative determined by the suspect, police need to have a head start to defend themselves, each other and the public. These guys have to be ready to react to threats in split seconds for hours and hours of the day. Accidental killings because of already havign the firearm out are almost non existent. Yes it is stressful when cops have their firearms out, yes it absolutely SHOULDN'T be necessary, but it IS. That's the reality of policing in a country like the USA. The OVERWHELMING number of times police get their weapons out, the situation is resolved peacefully. When it is isn't the OVERWHELMING number of shoots are totally justified. But the media just pumps you the 2% of shootings that are bad. If YOU don't like it, either push for more gun control or move to a country that already has it (like Australia, where policing is much safer, and so cops can conduct themselves at a lower readiness level). Don't tell police not to take necessary steps to defend themselves because you simply don't understand what you are talking about.
@@BossDogChillin Yeah ive noticed that aswell, i can only assume they believe that by stalling and playing for time they might be able to "think" of a possible escape.
The'll cancel this to soon. To much evidence on who's doing the crime and what Police has to deal with. It does not fit the narrative of the current era.
The fact that she immediately sat down and blocked them from getting to her man is a telltale sign that she knew he would be arrested. People like this always think that if they delay long enough the cops will just lose interest and leave them alone. I agree with a lot of the comments that people like these two are just plain stupid. What's worse is they never really seem interested in getting smarter or living better lives.
@@godzwilito She probably will face a small heap of charges. So the PD can say: “So… THERE!!! Take THAT, Miss Dopey, I know all the laws and y’all can’t do this, and y’all cain’t do dat.”
o k Yeah, you could see her immediate panic set in. Why a stupid fckn decision. Is it worth your life, really? Put your girlfriend/wife/partner in that position too? Sick and selfish. Nobody wanted to go home that day with a mans life on their hands or conscience. So fckd up.
Prisoner HumanBeing Even if you do feel that way, which is pretty inhumane and sick, the men and women who responded to this call and made an oath to *protect* their fellow man, now have to live with the fact that they were forced to end the life of this man. Unless you’re devoid of any emotion, that’s heavy on your mental health. There’s a lot of baggage that goes along with something like that. I sure hope you are not an officer of the law.
We can only blame the system we have created, and the environment that our forefathers made through systematic racism and the constant diminishing and control of black communities across the US. Without education and wealth we have left these communities with nothing, it’s our fault alone that they are ignorant and uneducated.
I know that everyone is dissing cops at this point in time, but these cops gave them every opportunity to cooperate. If they had just stepped out of the car and been cooperative none of this other shit would have happened.
Normal person: oh geez officer I wasn't aware of this simple traffic infraction. Here's my name, I guess I'll take the ticket and be on my way...maybe I'll fight it in court later. This person: I guess I'll just shoot my way out.
Cooperation, even and especially when you are in the wrong will almost always lead to deescalation. Refusing an order of a police officer, regardless of your belief in their rightness is a recipe for a bad day for all involved. Police see everyone’s worst days all stacked together. You think it’s a bad day when you have to deal with the cops, imagine being the cops dealing with people at their worst all day.
What gets me, if I was guilty of something and the cops let me drive off, I am sure as heck not stopping at the gas station next door! I driving to put as much distance between me and that copbecause I know they may run my plate.
r sanchez yeah for real. Well criminals are pretty dumb. And these two were some dumb ass motherfuckers. Her and her buck teeth and him and his “juridiction”
Before using non-lethal you're supposed to yell it out usually 3 times or so, so that other officers know whats going down. Same reasoning you hear cops yell taser, taser, taser before deploying the prongs. If I hear a fellow officer yelling taser, taser, taser, I'm getting my hands off that subject as fast as I can so I don't take the lightening ride too accidentally. It is funny to hear pepperball being yelled though as opposed to taser.

Well, he could also only imagine 40 years. He got a total of 105. The 40 was the federal charges for shooting the officer. But he was also charged 30 years for each of the other two officers there that he also shot at, and 5 years for the felony possession of a firearm
well it wasnt exactly just a traffic violation, they would have found that weapon on him and he would have gotten the felon in posession of a firearm charge. So he would have probably been looking at another 3 to 5 years for that. Though he's an idiot to begin with, carrying a loaded weapon in a car with bad plates, being a felon and all.

@@danielv9202 He “ran” from them yet they are not dragging him out of the car and just talking to him? Yea that screams “ran” from the police. He was parking somewhere safe so he wouldn’t be executed like usual. His only crime was being black. He had no choice but to shoot at two people harassing him for no reason. They were going to execute him anyway. They knew they were going to kill him the second he started asking questions. Racist 🐖 🐽 moral of the story, don’t be black in Tulsa or the police will kill you for asking questions. They obviously had no jurisriction. Just look at the thumbnail, does that look like two men scared for their lives? No. It was an execution.

Imagine your last words being “pepper ball, pepper ball, pepper ball”
This kind of interaction is why cops are so on edge all the time.
Facts!
I agree
Manny P it absolutely excuses it.

The fact that she immediately sat down and blocked them from getting to her man is a telltale sign that she knew he would be arrested. People like this always think that if they delay long enough the cops will just lose interest and leave them alone. We can only blame the system we have created, and the environment that our forefathers made through systematic racism and the constant diminishing and control of black communities across the US. Without education and wealth we have left these communities with nothing, it’s our fault alone that they are ignorant and uneducated.
The situation out there it’s worse than worst every day
Hey Sticks you ok. Omg what terrible situation.
That is ALWAYS the case. Cooperate always.

19:23 lmao he said "Pepperball, pepperball pepperball" like he was casting a spell

I can’t imagine turning a traffic violation into a 40 year sentence. Wow.
This man is dead or😢
Well, he could also only imagine 40 years.
@d34db33f the old adage of "don't commit a misdemeanour while committing a felony" fits here. Could have been free and clear without the traffic violation.
