Thank you, yes indeed. This has been a 3 year journey for me and I am slowly going in chronological order of how I experienced it. Hello from New Zealand . I love Chateaus and Antiques and do watch The Chateau diaries and lots of other Chateau Channels too . Have been to France but one day i will go .
Wow that's so cool! I've had several people from NZ reach out- it's really still so fascinating how people find each other! If it's your dream to come to France you'll make it happen!
Love the road footage. I’m in Atlanta currently looking to do what you are doing. I’d love to buy a chateau and like you said follow the template of Stephanie at La Lande. Do you have any tips you can share? I’m looking to go the creative finance route in the process.
Oh cool! Another Atlantan! Thanks for following along and the support. Not sure what you mean by creative finance but I decided to engage a buyers rep after doing it solo for the first couple of years. Although it adds a bit in fees, I couldn't have done it without him. You'll meet him in the next episode!
I love the driving content because I was just there in France in September driving around and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I plan on moving at retirement to Southern France at retirement from Victoria BC Canada. Sooo looking forward to it !! I can’t wait to see more of your content and I saw at the end of the video you held up a set of keys!!! Can’t wait to see your chateau🎉🎉

Hi new subscriber, first time visiting your channel. 100% a fan of Stephanie and long time viewer. I was watching you thinking, wow, she is a really good filmmaker, and well, then you said you were a director. I am looking forward to following your dream. Love the French countryside,
Just came across your video and you shocked me when you mentioned I-5 and Hiway 99!! I thought "this lady is from California!" I live in Central California. I love watching Christine and everyone that comes through to help and visit. Not being as extroverted as she is I would have a diffucult time with people in my "castle" but enjoy the commarderie that has developed there!! Interested to see where your story takes you!!

@@GoGoChateauI grew up near Escalon so Modesto and Stockton were my nearest "big" towns!! Now live in the country outside of Ripon right off of Hiway 120.
I have followed Stephanie since she began. I live in Barcelona, came here from USA:..Argentina….born in USA, North American, prefer living in Europe. Got a kick from your video,, as I was born in Pasadena, know the HollyGollyWood life quite well.
No way! I lived in Eagle Rock for 10 years before moving to Atlanta, God I miss the Rose Bowl Flea Market! - in 2016 I had to get out of LA - then had to get out of GA. I think I'm going to prefer Europe also. I had better as this is kinda the last hurrah!
Can't wait to see more of your adventure. [Looks like you went a couple of years ago, based on the plantings in the courtyard of LaLande.] I, too, live in Atlanta and discovered all the chateaulains through the DIY show [that Peacock had maddening not updated] and went to RUclips. Personally, I love all the footage of the beautiful countryside. At the moment, I am recovering from surgery, so I will be keeping an eye out for more episodes!
Cyd in USA. I noticed that as well. Especially the shots of the courtyard that is much grander now :-) Loved the shows from France. They really got me through Covid epidemic.
OMG! I almost laughed my butt off when you told us you were being escorted out of the village by the Mairie...😂😂 I would have loved to seen that on camera 😂 That could so much have been me. Many years ago a couple of friends and I had sneaked into an abandoned castle. We just wanted to look. Not damage anything. And all of a sudden we were busted by the owner and thrown out of the castle. It was so embarrassing 🫣😂😂 I defintetly understand what drives you! 😉❤
I love a little crazy, I am in Australia in a town called Hervey Bay. I follow the Chateau channels because it is so far removed from our life here, I love architecture can appreciate the french style although so not mine, and I get to explore from afar, it is such a long way for us to travel to Europe. And it was great escapism during covid.
Some of my favorite people are Australians! We have a lot of similarities I think. I understand about the distance, my friend Kerry was just here from Melbourne (I met at Lalande) she has done the trip several times and it's killer. She breaks it up but still brutal!
What a lot of fun you are! On a very low day your joie de vivre lifted me right up, now I wanna come be one of those useful moths hovering around your cool chatelaine flame 😄

Your vlog has been on my brain in the last week and I was wondering when I might be privileged to see another one of your videos. So excited to see you pop up in my feed and catch up on what you have been up to. You most definitely have one of the most creative approaches to a chateau vlog that I have seen. Just planning on living vicariously through you until I can step foot in France. My hope is to convince my family to move there in the next couple of years. Did you give us a hint that you bought yourself a chateau by waving those keys at us???? You sure do know how to create suspense. Glad you have a bunch of videos coming up. Just PLEASE don't take 2 months before you post the next one. A bientot.
You're a serious fan !- I'm finding it way harder to keep up with them now. I remember hearing Stephanie say you either watch Chateau episodes or make them & now I know what she meant! It's a full time job, even at the beginning!
New subscriber here. Ive been watching Chateau Diaries as well since Covid and caught up on the earliest ones once I started watching so I've seen every one.. I pop in on other chateau vlogs but that is the only one I watch religiously and was a patron as well. I started watching from my home in California but have since moved to Ohrid, North Macedonia. I like the driving parts as well.
Thanks so much Steven! I feel the same way, my loyalty is to CD as well and was a Dauphine Patron for years. I am googling Macedonia now! Sounds exotic!
Thanks for your Video! I just subscribed so I can follow along your journey. I've followed Stephanie since she started and it's really been fun. You are so right when you talked about how after watching her vlogs, I feel like I know her and some of the others at the Chateau! But, we are complete strangers. Weird! Anyway, have fun and I look forward to your next one! FYI, I live in MA .ps you are very brave!!!
I met Morgan at LaLand in 2021. She is awesome! And yes even stranger to meet RUclipsrs in person, but LaLanders are genuinely just as charming as they appear in vlogs.
Yeh. Limoges, not a fan either. And my family still live there and has been for centuries. But if you are in the market for any type of porcelain, new or second hand, that's the place to go.
Wow you have serious roots there! Yes understood it is the epicenter for porcelain which is why I was so excited to go... Places have energy and we all respond differently to them based on our own vibe. It's fascinating to me!
Technically speaking lol, I would say the mothership is actually the Strawbridges - they had the first show Escape to the Chateau. Chateau DIY was a spinoff of that.
@@Tracy_R Merci Tracy! Yes that's what is so amazing about RUclips you can really drop in to anyones life, learn something new and feel as if you've gone with them because you have!
Stephanie is the quintessential chatelaine. From what I've seen, she is kind, generous and helpful and I've never heard her speak badly of anyone. All fine qualities to have in what can be a cesspool of RUclips channels. Good luck in your chateau search - but are you sure France is for you?
@@Sparrowdean Agreed! She’s exactly as she presents herself to be. Kind, funny, smart, and big hearted. She deserves all of the good fortune bestowed upon her! Big fan! I loved the countryside too, could it all be more beautiful. What am I doing here in canada, its not my people!
Hi! Thank you so much! I am totally with you Sister! It's such a dreamy, magical place!
GIRL, we need to be fast friends and do a collab. I just met you, subscribed, and J'ADORE!!!
❤❤❤
Woo Hoo! Love that kind of declaration! When you know you know! I just subscribed to your channel as well!
This must be quite old as Dans long gone and the trees around the fountain aren't in.
Yes, this was my first visit to Lalande. This is a narrative retelling of my journey to becoming a chatelaine.
@GoGoChateau Great, I can't wait to see the rest of the series and where you are now!
@angela-k4q I know right? I never get sick of the scenery here! Excited for you to live your dream in Southern France basking in the Sun! Do you follow Adrian Leeds? She's the Queen of Real Estate in Nice. Not sure where you're thinking but she has a ton of great info! & oui there are keys! 😜
I should have been more specific. I’m moving to the area around Pezenas. So Southwest Mediterranean towards the inland.
@@Angela-k4q Awesome! OK googling now!
@@Angela-k4q looks lovely, how did you decide on this village?
Hi new subscriber, first time visiting your channel. 100% a fan of Stephanie and long time viewer. I was watching you thinking, wow, she is a really good filmmaker, and well, then you said you were a director. I am looking forward to following your dream. Love the French countryside,
Yay! Merci beaucoup! The CD community is filled with really kind, lovely people. I appreciate the support! xo
@@lyndaplancarte4895 Yes!!!! I was born in Stockton and went to High School in Lodi! Went to Long Beach State to college and did that 1-5 /99 hustle for years!

Love it!!! Watching as an American who loves everything about France!
@@rebekahdonelan456 Woo Hoo! It’s about to get REAL!
This must have been filmed a long time ago! What year was it?
Pre the courtyard changes.
I just discovered you, less driving but love your sense of humor and all your sunglasses.
thank you and copy that!
Hello from the East Coast of Canada. Hoping your dream comes true and I can come visit / assist at YOUR chateau soon !
@@BeachClubNovaScotia Merci beaucoup!
I love your format!! Congrats as it looks like you took the plunge!! Exciting!
Thank you Blake! Oui Oui Oui!
Can't wait to see more of your adventure. [Looks like you went a couple of years ago, based on the plantings in the courtyard of LaLande.]
I, too, live in Atlanta and discovered all the chateaulains through the DIY show [that Peacock had maddening not updated] and went to RUclips.
Personally, I love all the footage of the beautiful countryside. At the moment, I am recovering from surgery, so I will be keeping an eye out for more episodes!
@@AtlantaGarden Merci beaucoup beaucoup! Yes I’ve been a couple of times. I have shot the whole adventure and now I’m piecing the story together…
Cyd in USA. I noticed that as well. Especially the shots of the courtyard that is much grander now :-) Loved the shows from France. They really got me through Covid epidemic.
Ditto & agreed! Opened up a whole new world!!!
@@irenes.vestergaard357 😂😂😂🫣Busted!!! So much crazy stuff happens to me when I’m not rolling the camera. I need constant surveillance!
New subscriber!! I’m on board to watch your journey.
Thanks a million! It's so helpful to know people are cheering me on!
What a lot of fun you are! On a very low day your joie de vivre lifted me right up, now I wanna come be one of those useful moths hovering around your cool chatelaine flame 😄
@@LarsOfMars. Awww that is the nicest thing ever! I am so humbled that the content lifted your spirits on a down day! That is the highest compliment. I’m gonna need an army of moths soon! 🦋

Great journey! Love the driving tips I am always a nervous driver in France with the trucks 😊
Omg right?!!! where I am now is super rural and the trucks fly by with mere inches to spare. I hold my breath every single time!
Excited to continue following all your adventures!
Thank you so much!
A bientot.
@@LucyAuburn Thank you so much! I appreciate the encouragement !
Good luck with your adventure! Should be fun.
Merci! It's been a roller coaster for sure!
I watch all the Cheatue shows all since beginning of all of them.
You're a serious fan !- I'm finding it way harder to keep up with them now. I remember hearing Stephanie say you either watch Chateau episodes or make them & now I know what she meant! It's a full time job, even at the beginning!
I’m from Atlanta too and I love Chateau Diaries ❤ lucky you ❤
Yay! I'm headed back on Monday and my first stop is gong to be Superica as there is ZERO mexican food here in NW France LOL
Too funny ,, great videos and approach. 😊but apparently there are apparently sooooo many abandoned Explorers it's a big problem
Thank you and yikes! Yes I saw that on the Life or Ryan's channel this week. I got cameras up right away!
What a fantastic trip! The roads are beautiful there! 🥂
Tis true - more cows than people in my hood! LOL
Love you! You are what France needs!

AWESOOOOOMMMMMMEEEE! Thanks so much for the support!
That was a long time ago. Dan doesn’t live nor work there anymore. His van is in the scrap yard behind the chapel. When did you go there?
Technically speaking lol, I would say the mothership is actually the Strawbridges - they had the first show Escape to the Chateau. Chateau DIY was a spinoff of that.
Yes that's true, but Lalande is the Mothership for me as Stephanie is the one I most relate to for my own journey.
I would prefer less of the driving in the video. It actually made me feel car sick at times.

Stephanie is the quintessential chatelaine. From what I've seen, she is kind, generous and helpful and I've never heard her speak badly of anyone. All fine qualities to have in what can be a cesspool of RUclips channels.
Good luck in your chateau search - but are you sure France is for you?

It could also be your settings because I didn't have any trouble. 🤷
Cant hear you from the music.
