- I'm back out on the big river chasing cold water walleye and sauger in my new boat. I do a quick walk through of the boat then go fishing! We discuss easy methods of putting cold water walleye and sauger in the boat.

Same way my buddy and I get em real early in the spring and the fall. Kinda cool to watch the ice chunks fall over the dam. Just gotta watch the trolling motor with some of them.
Definitely have to watch for the big chunks!

Nice boat and great fishing video! Intderestng walleyes were in very deep water.
Thanks Dad! The walleyes winter in deep water so when the ice goes out they are still near the wintering holes.

Moon eye jigs work good and you used one. Cool I finally saw a moon eye fish too!
I like the the wire that holds the plastic on the hook and the hooks are very sharp.

Nice content bro and way to go new boat looks stellar !! Do you ever tie stinger trebles to your jigs for light bites ? I know it's works for me with the bass @ side bumps !!
I’ve never used stinger hooks. I’m aware of them just don’t use them.

That is a nice rig! I've been looking for a good used Lund to replace my smaller 15 footer. If ya hear of one up your way let me know. Love the walleye and Saugers below the dam. I will be trying that below the dam in Dubuque this year. Thanks Lance I'm learning from your technique. Great video

I enjoyed the video, but barotrauma is tough on walleyes caught in anything over 30'.

I don’t catch them very often but you could target them with a bobber and minnows set shallow in current areas
