  • Ed hates cancer and he’ll tell you as much. He was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer, the same disease that took his mother. At the time he was diagnosed, Ed’s cancer had advanced to stage 3. From the moment he discovered he had cancer Ed knew he needed to go beyond traditional treatments to beat it. Ed’s oncologist asked him to consider trying IMFINZI (durvalumab). Ed’s cancer has now been eradicated and he believes immunotherapy is opening doors for patients to live longer.

My mother is stage 4 that moved to her liver. She is on keytruda immune therapy. 3 yrs now. Someone with her cancer would not of made it 12 months 5/6 yrs ago. I know it does depend on bio markers.

@@godschild3640from what I’ve researched it does grow quickly but it’s less aggressive then small cell lung cancer. Every person is different I had a friend diagnosed same time as my mom went to her brain and she lived a very short time. My moms moved to her liver and has been on immunotherapy for a little over 3 yrs now. To be honest I believe the side effects from the treatment will take her before the cancer. This is a great program but it does also break down healthy cells. Wishing everyone who is in treatment the absolute best. Also side effects for mom have been minimal.

Define immuntherapy because we went through years of one type of C then it came back as another type. With all rhe chemo etc not one word on immunotherapy. ?
