      Hey! Anything in particular you want to see? I can make sure to get a good look underneath on my next video.

      Yes, sir, the CV joins and Tie Roid angles would be awesome. I would love to do a level on my gmc 2500 , 2024. But I was worried about the angles ! Also does the tire hit the frame at full turn with the 37/11.5?

    • @Southern-Offroad
      @Southern-Offroad  10 дней назад +1

      @@2010joshh1 Each truck varies depending on the OEM wheel we have seen a few make minor contact with the frame. I may try and make a video with a stock truck and put an angle finder on the CVs and tie rod ends then to the leveling kit and compare the differences.

      MAN ! That would be great. It will help me any many more on a leving are a full lift. If the angles are ok are pretty good I would jump right on the leving. I really don't want to put a full 4in on mine. I have to work mine and climb in and out of it all day!

    I wanted to go 18 or 17s with 37s with a level kit on my 22 Sierra hd. But I don’t want to use my stock 20s. What offset will I be ok with ? I like the methods

    • @Southern-Offroad
      @Southern-Offroad  5 месяцев назад

      Methods are a great option! 17" you would need to be careful on the caliper clearance and wheel weight position. 18" Should be fine just need to keep a positive offset.

    im running a 3in cognito kit with 1in rear block, and have TIS 18x9+18, would i be able to run those tires without any trimming?

    • @Southern-Offroad
      @Southern-Offroad  7 месяцев назад +1

      We've had the most success out of the factory 20" wheels and 37x11.50R20s. The factory wheel offset varies +15mm to +35mm so a +18mm offset should work. We still recommend running the 11.50 wide vs 12.50 wide.

      did this truck have any modifications done to wheel liner or kept it how it was?@@Southern-Offroad

    • @Southern-Offroad
      @Southern-Offroad  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@GN_OUTDOORS Light inner fender modifications. Pinning back or trimming. The best way is to do the Westcott Designs fender pin back it. Very Nice set up from Westcott!

      You have to cut the perch/bump stop with this kit if you use the flat Cognito UCAs. Cognito makes tubular UCAs that require no cutting.

    Anything else needed like re-gearing ? I believe the gas truck has 3.73 and diesel 3.42 but not 100% sure

      All of the trucks we have done with this package have been Diesels. None of our clients have requested any gear changes or had any complaints thus far.

    What size kit is this

    • @Southern-Offroad
      @Southern-Offroad  11 дней назад

      It depends as this kits is adjustable (adjusting the torsion) we usually net 2-3" of lift from stock.

    Level kits ride shitty, or so I hear,i know people with leveling kits that say it rides better , most say if your gonna lift it, lift it properly

    • @Southern-Offroad
      @Southern-Offroad  6 месяцев назад +2

      The leveling kits on this truck can be tricky. What we have found is any kit that does not have the appropriate amount of droop travel will experience a harsh ride. The great thing about the Cognito kits is they address the droop travel issue that the others don't. You must run a new upper control arms specifically for a leveled truck that is designed to increase droop travel. The only kit we have found that does this properly is the Cognito kit. So you CAN level the truck and have a good smooth ride but it has to be the right components and set up properly. The kits with just keys and shock extensions will NOT cut it.

      @SouthernOffRoadPelham yep that sounds about right , they always crank it up all the way up leaving no travel in the suspension

    Trimming???

    • @Southern-Offroad
      @Southern-Offroad  Месяц назад

      Slight trimming. It is minimal with the 37x11.50R20 and factory wheels. We also like to use the Westcott Designs fender pin back kit for a clean look. If you are interested in getting this done we can help you out or ship you parts. We are located in central Alabama.

    Looks terrible with factory wheels.

    • @Southern-Offroad

      We like the factory wheel look. However it would look sick with a set of Method Race wheels. What wheels do you think would look best?
