      Heck yeah man! I've gotta say... I was really impressed with how well it performed in the testing. I'll be putting out more content on it and the other packs I tested on the channel and over on the website, but Sitka came a long way with this pack!

      Backwoods Pursuit I've been looking for a nice hunting pack with a aluminum frame. I have a few rucksack military packs and frames an old Vietnam era aluminum frame with the rucksack which is nice small and lightweight I really like that it also has an aluminum shelf that you can take on and off where the weight would sit so it's not hanging or pressing on the bottom of the pack and the newer modern polymer or plastic rucksack frame. But those packs don't offer what this pack does with the compartments compression straps etc. And this pack has an incredible amount of adjustability which I really like

      @@inthemountainswithmeachum3256 definitely. It's pocket configuration is really handy and versatile. It's a really comfortable pack as well.... With both heavy and light weight.

    So I think I have narrow it down to the Mountain Hauler 4000 or the MR Metcalf, you are one of the only guys reviewing both, any thoughts if price is similar?

      Hey there Blake! They are both great packs. Some of the biggest differences is that the MR has a breakaway bag/frame design, whereas the Sitka is designed to put the meat inside the bag(using their load hauling shelf). Both work well...but I prefer the location of the Sitka load shelf(3/4 way down the pack), over the MR, which is at the bottom of the pack. That said, I much prefer that the bag breaks away from the frame like the MR. Ultimately, it comes down to how it fits though as the features don't matter as much as getting the right fit. Thanks for watching!

    Overall, would you say this pack is legit? Or is it far below the standards that Mystery Ranch and Exo have?

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  4 года назад

      Thanks for watching! This is definitely a grest pack. It's different than the Exo or MR as the bag doesn't separate from the frame like those two, but it hauls a load very well. For me personally the Exo and MR felt a little better with a 100lb load, but this thing was no slouch at all. It far exceed my expectations. I do wish you could separate the meat from your gear, but that's a personal preference thing. The built in horn hauler system is cool as well....something the others don't offer.
