Welcome back to LA, Chris! Y, tough to get around SoCal without a car - believe me, I know! Lol - In-n-Out is a required stop! I've been listening to the inspiring story of its founders. Great stuff of a small family business that went the "road less traveled" vs all the other fast food chains!
Always love your Vlogs. I cannot recall that you mentioned difficulty in switching from driving on the left to driving on the right (and back again), but I certainly don't make the switch easily.
haha you were staying in the same room i was staying in for two weeks in September ;) have spent a lot of time in this house and even more so in the one in Encinitas/San Diego (3+ months).. missing California!
Hey Chris, love your vlogs and videos! Can I ask how did you find driving in LA? Have you actually driven there previously? Fellow Aussie from Victoria here so happy to see a digital nomad making it:-)
Hey Sarah. I was nervous at first but I got over it after like 5mins. I'd done some driving in Mykonos and Santorini earlier in the year so I had some experience with driving on the other side of the road.
Quick question : What kind/type of visa were you on? Were you on a tourist visa in California or a work visa? Do you tell the immigration officers that you are a digital nomad? What kind of visa do you need for that?
Totally agree. Customs and Immigration people still live in the 20th Century. When you mention work, they can only think in terms of a conventional job (in competition with a native seeking that same regular job). Advice from Chris especially applies to Canada.
Thanks for the response Chris... I also have a proposal for you which can drastically increase your and my income as well. If you can find some time to do a Skype call with me that would be great...
excellent videos!, really you are a inspiration in have that video, thanks for be a dreamer, so i have a question about the camera, what camara use for the videos?, thanks!
I've stayed in the Venice Beach area in a nice clean room in someone's home twice for $35 a night. Found it on Airbnb. Hotels are expensive as hell. But lots of local options on Airbnb from people who are trying to make extra income.
If you're 'entry level', then I guess you mean low-budget right? I'll let you know when my book comes out because the premise of the book is to answer this very question.
This time, not so much. I liked living in Hollywood last time I was here because I was walking distance from the nightlife and the gym but this time was different obviously.
Thanks for reminding me why I am vegetarian and refrain from driving cars......I think, actually finding a place without wifi is cause for a wee bit o celebration.....stress level reduce.......enjoy the hols...:-)

If you make it to San Diego go to Phil's bbq. He has 4 locations there and it is the best I've had and I've been to Texas too!
Already back home in Australia but thanks for the tip ;)

We were travelling on the visa waiver program. It's generally a good idea to not talk about work at all during immigration.

Hello. Im a software engineer planning to try out digital nomad. How do you find a place to settle for a month or 2?
excellent videos!, really you are a inspiration in have that video, thanks for be a dreamer, so i have a question about the camera, what camara use for the videos?, thanks!
This vlog was shot on the Canon G7X as is pretty much everything thing on this channel.
How much do you pay of rent there?
Great content!
I’ve been thinking of LA, but isn’t the rent there extremely expensive? Would it be feasible to even stay there for more than a couple of days?
I've stayed in the Venice Beach area in a nice clean room in someone's home twice for $35 a night. Found it on Airbnb. Hotels are expensive as hell. But lots of local options on Airbnb from people who are trying to make extra income.
I think Outsite is around $80 USD per night for a single person but you'll have to check on their website
Has your book cane out yet?
Thanks for checking in! Will be out this month.
Enjoy your vids...good work....
Which would you and your viewers consider the better city to move to (I'm considering!) for an entry level digital marketer/front end web developer?
If you're 'entry level', then I guess you mean low-budget right? I'll let you know when my book comes out because the premise of the book is to answer this very question.
