These are all so beautiful I absolutely love those moulds ... so delicate when ypu put the flowers in ... the bubble explosions looked kinda cool like shattered glass 😍😍 but it's so good to know what not to do thanks for sharing 😍😍😍
The square beads turned out much nicer than I thought they would. Beautiful! If you flip them out of the mould into a glass of water and cure again, they should lose the stickiness.
Yes I recently saw Daniel Cooper demo that. This video is quite old ow but i will be making beads again soon so I shall be doing that - looks like a magic fix
You can put the slightly sticky beads into cold water for a flash cool & it takes away the sticky sensation. Just don’t drop them all into water at once because they could stick together if they touch each other before the water does its job. Just like 30 seconds or a quick dip into water does miracles 🫶🏽
Yes I know, that technique came about roughly a year after I made this video. I've also changed resin brand so it's never sticky anyway. Thanks anyways x

I just bought those from Temu I tried one with round ball, it’s hard to inject resin inside so I finally did one it turned out very good, I used part A&B one
Yes they are fiddly. UV is easier as it's in a pointy tip bottle but really need to do it in layers to avoid the overheating. Epoxy, yiu can put in a dropper bottle or a pipette, but yes it's fiddly
love the layers idea in the UV, the square ones are just gorgeous & delicate. In the epoxy they all end up at the bottom or float to the top, which is so annoying... It will be interesting to see how you deal with that
As yes the sinking or floating thing. if you wait an hour till the resin has thickened a bit - small inclusions like these often stay where you want them. or try Vista One - it's really thick to anyway
@@annagray6491 in total I usually cure for half hour when I’m doing stuff that’s actually right for up resin. Still end up leaving it in sunlight for hours after or just wipe off with alcohol, like they do with uv nail topcoat. Either that or I finish with uv nail no wipe top coat. Been doing this for something like 8 years now. Those seem the best solutions. Or just use epoxy
@@miniscenesgb wow, that’s a long time! Mine are usually done after about 10 mins or so! I’m just a beginner compared to you, only been using uv for about 8 months. Guess it is just good luck on my side. Lol sometimes it goes a bit funny if I put too much pigment or ink it it though. Love your stuff! Happy crafting!
@@annagray6491 yeh regular cur usually a minute or two but the surface is still liable to fingerprint unless I ,eave it in light longer or wipe with alcohol.
Glad you like them :) I've since changed brands and use mostly Apex or Let's Resin UV Resin, and cure it a little slower too. and have no issues now. The other thing is to try Daniel Cooper's trick of doing a final cure under water, that actually works

Thanks Claire. I'll. be doing these with Epoxy next time though there is mileage in the shattered glass effect. Might be dangerous though

Instead of those little lamps I use a nail lamp always cure with no stickiness
Yes I use mail lamps and proper resin lamps too. My fave for small pieces is still my gooseneck though as it's extra fast

I agree about the smell of baby wipes. We found some unscented ones that are much better. Thanks for sharing the wonderful beads.

I think if you use the lamp again once they are out of the mold the stickyness will be gone. Dont touch them for several hrs after😀
Yes that's what I usually do - or leave them in the sun on a windowsill for a while :)

@@miniscenesgb Good advice! I will try and tamp down my impatience. I don't think we have Vista here in the US but 4hr JDiction might do the trick.
When I get slight stickiness I put the out in the sun. But we get a lot of sun in Arizona.
Yes I leave mine on a windowsill in the sun for a while
I use Teexpert and it has very little smell. I cures nicely too

The JDiction UV resin is really good. Haven’t had any sticky with that. The beads turned out ok!
I still get sticky with JDiction though I’m finding the high viscosity one good
