When you realise this was Paul Tracy's last open-wheel race (given Las Vegas has been struck from the record books). Truly the end of an era, and quite fitting that he went out the same way he started at Long Beach in 1991, with a crash.
i like the idea of the new cars being safer....however i love the appearance of these cars so much more.
anyone who doesn't love these cars is lying. these cars are bloody beautiful.

Went to the last two races in Edmonton. This one was best. It's too bad the promoter was so shady. This airport is now closed and is being redeveloped, so no chance of a comeback either.
Attended the 2012 season opener and debut of the new car. The new car grew on me through the season.
honestly the DW12 i never could get used to. no matter how safe it was, or the racing quality, it was just such a god awful car to look at.
This track should be back on Indycar

Got your wish and well deserved. It's a great circuit.
So people can understand it: We don't go racing on these small time airports like this anymore because they are too busy bringing tons and tons of planes in and out of the airport to allow something like that. Because smaller airports have become a lot more popular over the years.I live near one and they have planes taxing in and out every hour at very least, whereas when I was a kid they would maybe have a few planes per day.
