Thank you! I was worried about the lifespan of my unit keeping it set to "on" and this gave me some peace of mind. Much appreciated!

I just want to know which makes it COLDER when it's insanely hot outside. My electric bill is already going to be absurdly expensive - So I might as well not have my air conditioner set to 72° & The interior temperature be 81°
I'd like to figure out which one cool my house down more

The first divide: commercial or residential? Almost all commercial systems depend on the unit fan for ventilation air (usually to meet Code), and allowing the fan to stop also terminates ventilation. Residential usually works fine with "auto", and those who like to feel air circulation would probably benefit from a ceiling fan.

What about the humidity? I was always told that leaving the fan on would add back humidity.

Is the fan speed the same when air condition on or just fan on without air condition on?
