How to play Boogie Oogie Oogie by A taste of Honey Guitar parts and bass lines.Ok I am an fairly lousy at all parts but it will get you a head start if you want to learn this. There's loads of playalongs on RUclips and I prefer to put my own complete versions together if possible check out the full song cover in context here • Boogie Oogie Oogie Cov...
Just a quick observation. The riff at about 2:40 sounds a bit more authentic if it is played with at the 10th fret of the "G" string, the 11th fret on the "B" string and the 13th fret on the "E" string. I know it is only one note difference, but it does more accurately reflect what she plays on the original recording. At least in my opinion. Thanks again though for providing the chords and other bits. You've really captured the "disco" sound of the original recording.
I actually hear that as a Bb triad - Bb, D, F with the F on the E string 13th fret. But it's hard to hit it with the frets narrowing up there so yours is a good option.
Great job dude. Was thinking of doing this with my band and started to figure it out. Found your vid and just saved a ton of time. Thanks.
from across the pond brother, nice job.
God! I love this instrament. I'm a Singer. Not a player. But this is my favorite instrament
yeah i think i got them from guitartabs or ultimate. i tend to look then find then play then forget, thats one of the reasons i video the songs so i can quickly remember the positions. sorry i can't help further amigo. have a great year all the best
Thanks for the post. If you watch Hazel Payne’s fingers on the riff, it looks (and sounds) like she plays a root-3-5 Bb (1-13/2-15/3-15). It’s a tight squeeze for most people’s fingers up there but substituting your pinky for her ring and your ring for her middle finger might help. And a 4th chord you might add for the chorus is either a C7 or Cm9 played at the 3rd fret. Noodle...'s and MajorPent...'s ways are also ok, I just like her way better.
Sorry, it's not that tight a squeeze, if you curl your wrist and don't play it lazily like we sometimes lapse into when we're not concentrating on good technique. I can play it easily with my ring and middle finger.
Great video!!!! I really learned a lot
.
good point thanks for pointing that out dude. I love the G string... mucho appreciado amigo
