Hey! BanG Dream! fan here. Here's some backstory on this (It's a long comment. Sorry) BanG Dream! is a Japanese multimedia franchise that revolves around a mobile rhythm game,m. They also have a 3 season anime with an OVA. I'll go into more detail below. BanG Dream currently has 7 bands under their belt, those 7 being: Poppin'Party (PoPiPa): a more pop-centered band and the main focus of the BanG Dream! franchise Afterglow: a standard rock band Hello, Happy World: a band focusing on "making the world smile" with cheerful, upbeat songs Pastel*Palettes: a band formed by an idol agency focusing on idol-type music Roselia: The ones you just watched and focus on rock/hard rock Morfonica: This band is completely new to the franchise so there isn't much out about them yet RAISE A SUILEN (RAS): Hard rock band utilizing electronic music and a DJ for some heavy drops Within the franchise, only four bands perform live. Those being: Poppin'Party, Roselia, Morfonica, and RAISE A SUILEN. The vocalists for the other bands have performed on their own with a backup band, but not as a full group. Black Shout is not Roselia at their best imo. Neo-Aspect, Avant-garde History, and LOUDER are some of my favorites from them. Definitely check those out if you like.
Roselia's musics are dope, thye give the heavy emotions on the songs and utilized the gothic-metal to them. There are 3 metal bands in the bang dream Roselia: GothicMetal Morfonica: ClassicalMetal(VIOLIN DOPE) RAS: ElctronicRockMetal These are All-Girl bands BUT there's also another verison which is All-Boys called Argonavis (also the main band for tge anime and the game) check out their songs. Epsilon is not a live band but the music is dope as Afterglow
Bit simplified... In fact Roselia- gothic/alternative rock/symphonic power metal; Morfonica-alternative rock with some prog touches(Kansas influences). RAS-industrial/punk.
It's still pop more than rock. For a metal head and what reactions I've seen for him it might not be as well received since they're still finding their sound. Roselia and RAS was the closest to the genre he's looking for. PoppiPa is more like punk rock.
If you want some shredding, try Neo-Aspect. There’s a guitar riff somewhere to the end, try the video form Erai-Chan and look in the comments for some variant of “Sayo’s guitar riff”. If you can find it, there’s a comment breaking down the characters and how the performers stay in character that highlights the riff. Sorry for the long comment
Roselia is a band from the anime BanG Dream, which has a video game which features all of Roselia's songs. "BLACK SHOUT" is the first song they released, I'd say the best songs are "R", "Avant-garde History" and "Neo-Aspect". They also covered well-known Japanese songs like "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis" (the opening of Neon Genesis Evangelion), "This Game" (the opening of No Game No Life), among others. But what I think is the best cover of Roselia is "Roku-chou Nen to Ichiya Monogatari" which means "Six Trillion Years and Overnight Story". It's a totally cool song from my point of view :"D
knowing six trilion years is a vocaloid song, and that you can make a vocaloid sing really fast, AiAi sung it amazing. the line "hontou wa hontou wa hontou wa hontou ni samuinda" was so good omg

I'd recommend Determination Symphony and Ringing Bloom for Roselia (Sadly, all live footage was shot down). For Bang Dream franchise, it has no metal song yet. But if you love Metal, please search for Touhou Metal. I'm sure it's a new Rabbit hole for you. >_

Japan has actually quite a big all female metal band scene. If you like some of the darker stuff i would recommend Bridear - scream (live) or Fate gear - Headless goddess Besides those some great metal bands are Aldious - Reincarnation (live) or absolute (live) Lovebites: Holy war (live) Fun fact they toured as opening act of Dragonforce last year in the UK Unlucky morpheus: Angreifer (live) or Black Pentagram Be ready to dive into the rabbit hole that they call japanese metal.

I recommend you "Daylight" by "Morfonica", is kinda rock, from the same franchise as Roselia, and it has really cool sounds
Morfonica is great unit. But Daylight won't be my recommendation. This track is only a warming up, I would recommen flame of hope instead.
