I have become convinced that our cat, Squeaky, understood EVERYTHING we said. Not only did he understand English, but he understood Spanish AND could spell in both languages. My sister spoke to him in English and Spanish. My boyfriend only spoke to him in English since he doesn’t speak Spanish. I spoke to him only in English though I can speak Spanish. One day, I was laying down and he came to cuddle with me. He lay on my stomach and I said something to him in Spanish. Man, I wish someone had recorded his reaction when he heard me. His head went “huh?!” 😧 I can’t explain it. It’s like, when you kinda move your head back in surprise, but he did it like a human. Squeaky did that, and his eyes got HUGE!!! 🙀 Well, I laughed for a solid 15 minutes. I said “Oh, you didn’t know I could speak Spanish?!” It was hilarious!🤣 He passed away on 9/21/23. 😔 We miss him every minute of every day. Rest in peace Squeaky. Until we see you again.

I absolutely love Chase. He is constant entertainment for all of the world to see and it is absolutely hilarious. One cannot help but love this Sweet cat.
Amen to the 3rd degree!!! A very sweet boy. All of my cats I've had, I spent a LOT of time talking to them. It does develop their personality and they feel loved and secure! I can't help it!! And TONS of kisses!!!
They absolutely do read our minds. Anytime I need to convey something to my cat, I'll picture that scenerio in my mind and he will understand and follow it.
IDK if they can read minds, per se, but they're tuned in for sure! Animals have senses humans don't. Or, maybe we do, but repressed somehow? Think about how horses act before a storm. The way pets behave when they know their human is sick, dying, distressed, etc. Abilities of trained service animals. Senses utilizizing vibrations, infrared vision, echolocation & more. Heck, I read recently sharks appear to use Earth's magnetic field as GPS. Yet, we humans are the top of the food chain...... I disagree. If the animal kingdom ever agreed to mobilized, my 💰 is on the critters.
Precious Chase❤ My cat ALWAYS knows when she's heading to the vet. So I have to trick her into the carrier. I lay down on my bed, pretend to be reading or resting. She loves that cuddle time, comes right over to do that, and then I gently grab and put her into the carrier. Sneaky, but it works.
Maybe that has been working for you for years, but if this is something you just started doing, maybe you should stop. Your cat may start associating cuddle time with vet time and that's obviously something you shouldn't want. Just a thought
I always say my one cat can read, especially the checkbook balance. He always seems to need a vet visit when I start getting a decent amount in the bank.

They just KNOW ! I have always owned rescue cats and cats just KNOW. They understand more than we can possibly think. Cats AND dogs pick up on body language. Actually learn quite a few words too. MY cats understood my mother when she spoke to them in Italian ( her mother tongue) go figure, we had by - audio cats who understood my bilingual mother. Quite impressive. But animals such as horses and wolves actually understand commands. Messi the puma in Russia understands his Russian human (daddy). Animals are intelligent , they are NOT low intelligence by any means. I love them all .🤗🤗
I can't tell u how many times I have had to cancel cause I couldn't find my furbaby or put him in his cage. I try to do it at least a couple hrs early....but I hate doing that. The vet even suggested it. But they don't get mad if u must cancel if u have a cat who won't get in his cage or they can't find it in the house. They say it happens alllll the time! Chase probably overheard u talking about it at some point. I don't know but animals are very sensitive. Both my dogs n cats always knew it was vet day n I never just get the cage out. I either leave it out for a long time or don't have it in sight. Neither way works. They just are too darn smart!!!! I think it is time that a dog or cat ran for president!!!!!😮😮❤😊
I Absolutely Love Chase, he is Beautiful and Smart. Cats are Extremely Smart and I will always believe that they understand English very well. I had a Very Smart cat that understood everything I said and he always knew when it was time to go to the vet and just like Chase he would try to avoid going, and I would have to trick him into the carrier. Unfortunately my Midnight passed away on July 2nd, 2023. I miss him so much, but I plan to adopt 2 more kittens. Chase keep being you because you are a wonderful funny cat. They know what day it is, just by the change of the night sky. That's why they look outside at night for,they can read the stars,even if it's cloudy,they know,my girl knew the cycle of the moon. Cats know a lot more Mother Nature than us.👋💕🇦🇺
Rule of thumb. I run a cat rescue. Never create spaces it’s hard for you to access the pet! I see some things like this and remember the emergency wildfire evacuation! They panic! Then you end up having to decide to leave them or save yourselves and those you could reach! Never create a space it’s hard for you to access the pet! Never

Omg my cat does this. She’s a big fluff ball with really long fur, and I get her groomed 2-3 times a year as I live in Australia and it gets so hot,especially in Queensland. I have all the doors to all rooms shut, hide her carrier in the laundry, and she knows (but I don’t know how) and flees/goes behind the wall unit, she even managed to crawl under a recliner! I really have to be on my game, but I ❤her
I just took one of my cats to the vet a couple days ago for her annual shots and wellness check and bloodwork. Today I have to fight again to take the other cat for other issues. I end up having to chase them around the house and it’s stressful, but dammit they know.
Oh they know, we must give off some kind of vibe I don’t know, but I had the worst time trying to get my baby last time, he kept running under the bed and he knows I can’t get down there to get him, I was sweating and felt like crying by the time I finally got him. But I love em with all my heart. Your babies are so lucky to have y’all as pet parents ❤

My female 5 year old always knows when I am going to take her to the vet. She even knows to hide when it's time to give her her medicine. She knows the signs. The noise of getting the medicine ready or the nail clipper. She has it all down now and will make it so I can't find her.
You know when women go with their intuition. Well, Chase goes with his cat's intuition. My cat Oscar is the same way. He actually hides and I have to look for him, lol.
