I have used chat gpt to test and fill the gaps in my knowledge in certain parts of my accounting duties for example invoice factoring. I would say chatgpt has been 95% accurate while making a few mistakes. I would strongly advice to have SOME knowledge in what you are asking to do and not to rely on its accuracy 100% of the time. I see it as a crucial part of my apprenticeship as i can use to understand things that I might be expected to know or i am too embarrassed to ask. Keep in mind i have been using the free version of it. Lastly, i encourage everyone reading this to give it a go, i promise it will be of benefit.
Yes agreed although you should be getting support from your line manager or team not from chatgpt. Having an understanding of the subject area will help you identify clear errors!

What's your point of view on the technological advancement of these AI tools like ChatGPT? Is the accounting profession at risk, especially for those who would like to start now? What is your opinion? Thanks in advance for your reply
No I don't think accountants are at risk, although I think using tools like chatgpt will become a new skill / requirement. Qualified accountants are involved in decision making, which AI can't replace (not yet anyway). I think where accountants will face challenges, is having a diverse skillset, so anyone looking to get into the industry now should learn technology at the same time.

Salam. Some accounting organisations are offering assistant Accountant or bookkeeper training for 6 months to 1 year. I want to mention one name that is KMB accounting. My question is whether this kind of training is worthwhile or just a waste of time and money. Thanks

I’m a big advocate for apprenticeships so I recommend and can’t go wrong with a level 7 apprenticeship. Level 4 is also good as you can progress on to a level 7 qualification from there.
In industry, can you get into management accountant jobs as a part qualified accountant with few exams remaining but end up not doing them? If so, can you expect you to receive the fully advertised job salary offer? Because in industry they're don't put pressure in getting the exans done do they
So you can get management accountant jobs as a part qualified accountant but your salary is likely to be adjusted to reflect this. The only time I’d expect you to be paid the same is if you have many years of professional experience and are deemed to be qualified by experience

It depends on the specific duties you’ll have to carry out. When you say company Secretary do you mean an executive assistant / pa or do you mean the Secretary of the company?

I wouldn’t spend too much money on training programmes like this best thing is to go out there and get experience.
