Something I teach in my classes, is that with AB antigens IgM's are the antibodies, and they are present at birth, but in very low amounts, unless the wrong blood is given. IgG antibodies are for anti D/Rh and they are only present after you have been sensitized.
What would be the best way to discuss this with sophomore level college students? In your opinion?

What is rehsus plz explain
Will u refer some books regarding physiology of first year??? Coz some concepts in guyton are very hard to grab..
Uzair Uzair depends what goal you have in mind. Guyton ofcourse is the most thorough resource for an undergrad. If the target is USMLE then BRS is a good book.
I thought anti A reacts against b antigen and anti b react agaist a antigen but on this you say that your blood group is b and anti b reacts against b
If you're blood group A, that means your RBC's have the A antigen. This means you do not have the B antigen and hence produce anti-B Ig's which target B antigens and Vice Versa
sir, I am having A positive blood group, and my husband is B positive and my 2 babies one female have AB positive and other male have AB negative. why it occurs. and one more question , no one lab can confirmly tell that negative blood, they says with having doubt.
👍👍👍
