Ok if you don’t know what this movie is but I’m sure you know since the new movie coming out soon. So in this world a bunch of alien monsters that don’t have eyes but have really good hearing have landed of earth on a asteroid and they started to hunt down anything that makes a sound and a family that lost their youngest one for having a toy that makes sounds and a girl who is deaf can’t hear and since the monsters have good armor on their skin it can handle bullets but since it’s head opens up to hear it shows it’s weakness and for them to communicate they need to do sign language and there good at it since the girl is deaf so they do it most of the time
Reality. The sister got him killed. The dad had set that aside. If the daughter doesn't give the toy back to the boy once the parents backs are turned, the boy probably doesn't pick it and the batteries back up. That said parents should know when they tell a small child no regarding a toy they need to usher the kid out and make sure he doesn't pick it back up once your back is turned. That said you don't expect your teenage daughter to do that. You'd think after surviving in that world a bit that she would be mature enough to understand her little brother can't have a noise making toy even if the batteries are removed as he might find batteries at some point.
I love this movie people in comments take it way to seriously it's a movie meant to have us annoyed, startled, surprised all that lord which is why the batteries were left for the child to take which is why no ones watching a small child walking through the woods he's way behind everyone we are supposed to be on edge frustrated it's called acting suspense😮
In reality, they should have all ran the other way and just let the kid die. Kras risked all of their lives by running after him. Might sound harsh, but that's nature.
Absolutely stupid generalization. Some parents aren’t ready to be parents. If I did everything my dad told me to do I’d have grown up to be a violent, belligerent racist who thinks it’s morally justified to punch people in the teeth for calling me names
This has to be the only child death in cinema that made me feel nothing. It just didn't feel real in any way. You can't explain that kind of stupidity with "he's just a kid." He is just completely devoid of survival instinct.
You've never spent much time around small children, they have no survival instinct at all. The first several years of raising a child involve doing literally everything they can to stop your kid from killing itself. What the child did here was completely normal for small kids. It's the parents who just left that shit there that fucked up.
My friend, I'm not a parent, but as an older brother to three brothers and sister, I could not have related to this scene more. The terror of the parents, the realization of the sister, and the child's unawareness of the danger something like this could bring In the early years of life, children worry less of the danger of their actions in comparison to their desires
Yeah, more proof when they were in the car when everything started happening, kid sees people panicking outside and the monsters, bro didn't give one flying fuck
Im a TK teacher. I work with kids his age and I know from having 16-20 of them at a time in my room that they have a hard time keeping quiet in any situation. Even serious ones. This is why as odd as this may sound to some, I don't sugar coat it whenever we have drills. Especially soft or hard lockdown drills. I tell them it is just practice, but I tell them how important it is to keep completely quiet. And they will usually ask why. And then I will tell them even though it is just for practice, if it was real we would need to be completely quiet because we could get hurt otherwise. 🤷♀️
I didn't watch the movie. Did the father got killed too moment later? You can't convince me that running and heavy breathing is not loud enough, considering everyone is too afraid to even whisper
@@mrszmatan2727No, the father lived. I think it has something to do with the aliens filtering out quieter noises when louder ones are allowed, like for example the waterfall and toy rocket.
If this family was being truly careful, that little boy wouldn’t have been left to walk home at the tail end of the group, out of sight of the adults. Little kids are incompatible with absolute silence. And then the parents conceive another child and expect to successfully muffle the sounds of an infant? Even if their scheme could work, how were they going to get the oxygen tank refilled? Strange writing choices. It’s still a good sci-fi movie, but it could have been even better with fewer plot holes.
I went to the movie theater with a friend to see this film, and after the end of that scene i clearly remembered her saying "stupid kid, im so glad he got himself cut in half" And i was like...: (O_o) After a couple of seconds i said "yeah i enjoyed that scene more than anything" ... ... ... We have a problem 🤣🤣🤣🤣😅
I mean realistically speaking no one would. Most people snooze in their sleep, everyone does basic biological functions, which also produce a lot of sound. Realistically speaking, it is literally impossible to survive in this scenario, maybe if it was only talking but all other sounds were allowed, then yeah.
Clearly there was a HUGE and deadly reason for him not to have batteries in a toy that makes a loud keen noise... I'd also say the fact that they were their only providers dad tried to save him the first time and risked themselves to save their kids on several occasions makes them great parents... he fucked around and found out by not listening..period.. Anything else?
Crazy how many people in these comments think that this scenario is nonsense or laughable. Guess what? Parents make mistakes all the time with kids. Including whether you're watching them all the time or keeping them in front of you at all times. This is a scene of parents making a number of mistakes in a row that end up getting their son killed. The daughter though was definitely no help herself.
@@Secretlyanothername The dad should've put the batteries in his pocket or bag instead of leaving them there next to his kid to take. That's the biggest mistake of all. Dad didn't think, "What if my kid decides to grab these batteries and tries to put them in the toy again?"
I loved this movie, my mother loved this movie, my father too when we finally managed to convince him to watch. But man, he could not respect the atmosphere of the film, had to keep talking every five minutes til we told him to shut it!

You sir, are not fit to be a parent, and to be quite frank, I'm okay with that, cause I wouldn't be laughing so damn hard right now if it weren't for it 🤣
I know it's just a movie, but I believe that's a bit cold
Kid was warned and he chose.
That little boy genuinely pissed me off in the beginning 😂 like fr 😭 cause didn’t your dad tell you put that shit down???????
Well he had to learn the hard way
The jazzy elevator/cafe outro music playing a few seconds after that made me laugh, ngl.

Box of live Grenades, after pulling the pins out.
the soft jazz really sells this
That gets rid of the weak link for sure.
Bruh had two people tell him to shut it. He saw everyone else die from being loud... but decided not to listen...idk I don't feel bad. Cuz he had it coming. He got himself kid. Could have been the whole fam.
@@p19shelt I agree completely.
Bro am so hyped to see the next movie on how it all started
Dad leading, kids in the middle, Mom bringing up the rear. That’s how it should have been done.
Or the dad can go by himself.
More efficient, quiet, faster, and safer.
Ok if you don’t know what this movie is but I’m sure you know since the new movie coming out soon.
So in this world a bunch of alien monsters that don’t have eyes but have really good hearing have landed of earth on a asteroid and they started to hunt down anything that makes a sound and a family that lost their youngest one for having a toy that makes sounds and a girl who is deaf can’t hear and since the monsters have good armor on their skin it can handle bullets but since it’s head opens up to hear it shows it’s weakness and for them to communicate they need to do sign language and there good at it since the girl is deaf so they do it most of the time
The dad:*waits 5 seconds before running
Me:dude goooo
Dad was carrying his elder son who was sick and a big backpack. It is impossible to run with those things
And the good news is silent movies are making a comeback.
Normally they don’t kill off children or dogs that easily. And when they do you know that movie is not fkng around. Hooked
This scene proved that Darwin is equal opportunity😬
that’s what he get honestly, he already knew the batteries made the toy loud 😂
4:08 Oktober Fest! *Yoylehihoo* (A pizza tower reference)
The simple belief, that anyone including parents are perfect. Time whats patiently for mistakes.
As dumb as little kids are, he probably would've picked it up regardless.
Now little girl. He just said be quiet and you give him the damn space shuttle back. 😂
The disadvantage of having a lot of kids during emergencies 😢
This should be shown at schools,
When we tell yo to be quiet there is a reason!
i luv how he just got absoulutly murdered and 3 seconds later some smooth jazz starts playing 😂😂
The monster wanted him to shut up the dam noise too
Why the hell would they walk so far ahead of the kid?
I love this movie people in comments take it way to seriously it's a movie meant to have us annoyed, startled, surprised all that lord which is why the batteries were left for the child to take which is why no ones watching a small child walking through the woods he's way behind everyone we are supposed to be on edge frustrated it's called acting suspense😮
this movie is one of the best horrors made in like forever
In reality, they should have all ran the other way and just let the kid die. Kras risked all of their lives by running after him. Might sound harsh, but that's nature.
Always listen to your parents. Period
Absolutely stupid generalization. Some parents aren’t ready to be parents. If I did everything my dad told me to do I’d have grown up to be a violent, belligerent racist who thinks it’s morally justified to punch people in the teeth for calling me names
Natural selection at its finest
So the dad was holding the older boy at the front but having the younger one in the back award of the year goes to 😂😢
Yeah. That didn't make sense to me either.
The older boy was ill. That’s why they were in the drugstore - to get medicine.
Love the elevator music at the end right after the kid gets mauled by the creature. 😂
It's the parents who just left that shit there that fucked up.
children ARE completely devoid of survival instinct
My friend, I'm not a parent, but as an older brother to three brothers and sister, I could not have related to this scene more. The terror of the parents, the realization of the sister, and the child's unawareness of the danger something like this could bring
In the early years of life, children worry less of the danger of their actions in comparison to their desires
kids die, that is why people had 12-15 kids a 100 years ago, cause 10 of them would die before the age of 7
Yeah, more proof when they were in the car when everything started happening, kid sees people panicking outside and the monsters, bro didn't give one flying fuck
The jazz music at the end had me howling lmao
Im a TK teacher. I work with kids his age and I know from having 16-20 of them at a time in my room that they have a hard time keeping quiet in any situation. Even serious ones. This is why as odd as this may sound to some, I don't sugar coat it whenever we have drills. Especially soft or hard lockdown drills. I tell them it is just practice, but I tell them how important it is to keep completely quiet. And they will usually ask why. And then I will tell them even though it is just for practice, if it was real we would need to be completely quiet because we could get hurt otherwise. 🤷♀️
Almost everyone bulshitting on the kid, the scene and the parents! Come on, that was an incredible scene!
No movie if you don't do bad or wrong things..they act like it's real lmao,
I didn't watch the movie. Did the father got killed too moment later? You can't convince me that running and heavy breathing is not loud enough, considering everyone is too afraid to even whisper
@@mrszmatan2727 I didn't see it either, since it's a movie I would say he made it...
@@mrszmatan2727No, the father lived. I think it has something to do with the aliens filtering out quieter noises when louder ones are allowed, like for example the waterfall and toy rocket.
i would say its for plot but the scene opens in the whole event and the kid's death kinda adds nothing but introducing the monsters
I went to the movie theater with a friend to see this film, and after the end of that scene i clearly remembered her saying "stupid kid, im so glad he got himself cut in half"
And i was like...: (O_o)
After a couple of seconds i said "yeah i enjoyed that scene more than anything"

I guess the kid was just thinking what's a spaceship without batteries
Yk a movies serious when they kill a kid in the beginning

I wouldn’t last ten seconds in this movie!lol
me neither i have alot of gasses
I mean realistically speaking no one would. Most people snooze in their sleep, everyone does basic biological functions, which also produce a lot of sound. Realistically speaking, it is literally impossible to survive in this scenario, maybe if it was only talking but all other sounds were allowed, then yeah.
@@mrszmatan2727 👍❤⚔❤
This is a good example of why you should listen to your parents and you make bad decisions there are consequences
listen to GOOD parents
You do not listen to someone for no reason
Getting pregnant and giving birth is NOT a reason
Clearly there was a HUGE and deadly reason for him not to have batteries in a toy that makes a loud keen noise... I'd also say the fact that they were their only providers dad tried to save him the first time and risked themselves to save their kids on several occasions makes them great parents... he fucked around and found out by not listening..period..
Anything else?
I love how the mom and sister just do nothing, they just stand there
they would have died too so it makes sense?
What the fuck did you want them to do? Run there and die too?
The sister is deaf so she didn't realize what was happening before it was to late cuz she didn't know he took the battery's
They both had the Freeze reaction, like personally no one could do anything at that point
nothing to do, death came for the kid faster than light so he was technically already dead when they saw it happening
4:09 for a split second you can hear the kid scream before brutally meeting his demise
Uh my tv hates radios how do I tell him to stop destroying car radios?
that’s what happens when you don’t listen
The kid was 100% to blame here. They blatantly disobeyed their parents, they knew that much.
Natural selection at its finest.
I like how the mother was just standing there not saving her child but accepting that he is gonna die.
Edit: woah 24 likes, thanks😆
They have been thru an alien attack before she knows it’s either this child is doomed or all of them
She accepted death of one instead of entire family.

How did the parents make a mistake? They took the batteries out. The kid secretly disobeyed.
@@Secretlyanothername The dad should've put the batteries in his pocket or bag instead of leaving them there next to his kid to take. That's the biggest mistake of all. Dad didn't think, "What if my kid decides to grab these batteries and tries to put them in the toy again?"
Of course it's laughable, it's directed like that.
Nahh, it's just directed poorly
I loved this movie, my mother loved this movie, my father too when we finally managed to convince him to watch. But man, he could not respect the atmosphere of the film, had to keep talking every five minutes til we told him to shut it!
This movie makes me realize how deeply we could connect with nature both physically and mentally like walking barefoot on a trail of sand if no one really talked at all in the entire world even if these monsters didn't exist.
That’s what you got out of this
If you think that's how you connect with nature, then you've never really been connected with nature.
Holy psychopath! You probably should get yourself checked out mentally.
That’s an interesting takeaway from this
It's called hook worms wear shoes always....
Killing off a kid at the beginning of a movie really makes you take the rest of the movie serious
Typical Hollywood movie logic🤣🤣
