I don’t play games but for some reason watch this channel & jingles. I was wondering. Many players have to train their guns onto a target and fire while focused on the target. This channel/player can keep firing and stay on target getting hits while looking around. Why do other players not do this?
Most players will manually aim every shot while zoomed in out of both habit and a need to get the most out of each salvo. The third person reticle technically serves the same purpose as the zoom reticle, but is horrible to aim with at any range other than point blank. Flambass is a much more experienced player than most, and will sometimes choose to hold right mouse button while firing, locking his guns to the same spot relative to an enemy ship when he feels he's 'on target' for a short while, before checking and adjusting his fire. This allows him to zoom out to third person to gather information from his surroundings or better control his ship while maintaining effective fire.

Learned a lot. As a DD main, my Daring sucks for some reason. Lower tiers in the UK DD line were a lot easier for me.
