Maybe the reason why tony only get 1 star after killing the mayor is because Salvatore pull strings to make some sort of interference on the police frequency, making difficult to the police to know what is going on. The introduction of gta 3 shown how vulnerable is the police of liberty city to any sort of cybernetic attack. Is established than after the Colombians attacked the convoy where Claude was at, a group of hackers made sure than the police would be unable to identify what prisoners were on the convoy, reason why the police don’t put priority to capture Claude or 8 ball.

I think the strange route was chosen because the Salvatore court case was a public event, and they did not want to take an obvious route to lessen the chance of being ambushed.

Everyone knew that Sal will be taken to court at the mission. So, the cops chose a different route so that nobody would guess where they were heading towards and safely reach the court. But the Sicilians blocked all the routes which is why the van chose to follow the original way again. They wanted to go from a secret route.
I think the reason that the car wasn’t crushed after killing JD was because the police could find his body and blood in the crusher afterwards as well as the fact that it would have made the mission too easy. But yes Mickey is not very bright. He could have also suggested that Toni dump the car in the river beside the crusher and then walk or get a taxi home

I’ll say, with the mission escorting the police van with Donald Love, it can sort of make sense that they’d take a different route. If they were expecting trouble, taking a less obvious route can potentially make the journey safer unless said other route was leaked or known in some way. But obviously here they knew where he was going and ambushed him.

Traveling outside Leone turf without having bodyguards accompany him Not having bodyguards within the premises outside his mansion and not even having a gate installed outside the driveway that leads to his house
Maybe the prison escort took Salvatore on a strange route to make it difficult for any plans to be put into place by the Leones to break him free or any enemies to carryout an assassination. Taking a strange route would ruin any assassination or rescue attempts as no pre-planning from the Mafia would expect the escort to take such a route. Clearly they took that route just for the mission to be a pain in the ass for the player but it's fun to think otherwise isn't it. I love your videos by the way!
Not just the car crusher, the car is just by the water. If they can't crush the car because apparently Mickey needs it, they can just have JD's body sleep with the fishes and then these two took off on their own.
Maybe there's a wall there that prevents Toni and Claude from driving a vehicle off the crusher considering that it would be suicide for them given their inability to swim

6:25 Perhaps it's because that the Callahan Bridge is "not finished" yet, which ironically Toni and Salvatore jumped over in the mission "Driving Mr. Leone". Guess it's the logic that the Leones thought that the bridge was under construction so they cannot cross through, except Toni and Salvatore. They should've used the Ferry to cross from Portland to Staunton Island (after Toni and Salvatore arrived at the safehouse, and the Ferry Strike is gone). Plus, the Ferry Port is also a few meters away to drive to Fort Staunton.

The real reason is because the LCPD attempted to connect Toni and Salvatore throughout 2001 but they failed to link them beyond Ma Cipriani's restaurant. So he had to keep a low profile and moved in with his Ma to avoid getting caught by the police and linking his affiliation to Salvatore after his crimes in LCS.
For the number 1 which you only get one star for killing the mayor, that's what I thought about killing Francis in GTA IV doesn't give you any wanted level, despite Francis being a superior in the LCPD. I've always thought you should get 6 stars for killing him.

Number 3 on the list was something that Salvatore should've never done because that was reckless, rash, and unthinkable for him to do especially if he's stuck in the middle between the Forellis and Sindaccos without calling for backup.
That evidence could be important documents for both Donald and Salvatore. It could be account books, similar to the ones that Frank tried to give out to the police against the Salieri Family in Mafia 1. So I think it's understandable that they wanted to keep it instead of destroying it. Anyway, do you think it's possible that Salvatore carried out his threats and rubbed out CJ? There is no way Toni would be able to kill a powerful person like CJ. CJ is very powerful. His criminal rank is higher than that of Toni Cipriani. Toni is in the 2nd highest position of the Leones tho.
Number zero - Luigi's Club You see, in "Gta San Andreas: The introduction" video, which takes place in 1992, we can see Carl Johnson running around in Liberty City and we can also see the Luigi's Club, which looks exactly like it does in Gta 3. But in Liberty City Stories, the game that takes place 6 years later, in 1998, we can see that the building where the Luigi's club took place in the third game is taken over by Sindaccos and has no signs that it was originally the Leone's club.
Well, it makes no sense in the storyline's timeline. Since "The introduction" was just a video and not really part of the game, I guess R* couldn't be bothered to check for loose ends or things that make no sense. The "Saint Marks Bistro" mission from GTA San Andreas also features cars with San Andreas plates and not Liberty City's ones. Either R* didn't care or they just got lazy.

GTA LCS logic: *Shoplifting* Police: Oh you're going too far! *Kills a Mayor* Police: Umm yeah. It's also illegal. But not a big problem. So pay a fines and you good to go.
For #2, I'd imagine that they don't know exactly what the evidence was, could lead them to a snitch. For "Where is Salvatore being taken?", it's not the smartest thing to transport a high value target through the most direct path.

The road loves limo is going down leads to the yakuza woman's house in gta3, he may be doing what he's been doing the entire time playing the game, working for the leones while working for the yakuza while working for the cartels while trying to take control himself. And in gta 3 he disappears because it all caught up to him
I think maybe in the mission where Salvatore has to be taken to court, maybe they used thos route because it is not the most direct, so the Sicilians would probably not have an ambush set , which they actually had set , and then the cops just panicked and took the direct route and hit every ambush point
For why they didn't crush the car. They wanted to get rid of the evidence. Crushing the car would leave quite a mess in the compactor which would be human remains. Dumping the car in the lake makes it easier to cover up. To be frank Mickey should have just snapped his neck and threw him in the trunk. Bullets are too loud and messy.
To me i think the thing is secret service for the mayor were too egoistic to call the police, they probably wanted to do the job themselves and knew if police handled this they're jobs are gone. Thats probably why no police official gets involved
Alright, LCS is a decent, good-looking GTA game but not a well-written mafia themed game despite the potential 😅 however there are iconic characters like Sal who i'm glad has a lot of screen time

The mayor was so corrupted LCPD wouldn't care too much about him. #2: Maybe Toni is meant to make a mistake? The player has no choice of actions influencing the story after all. Besides, making mistake is human nature.
And another thing no helicopters and you can't get into Luigi's club. I mean this game came right after San Andreas I know it was a smaller title but why can't they just reuse the San Andreas engine. I know in gta3 why Claude can't get into the club. But in LCS once the Leon's take over the club and Toni is a made man and eventually under boss you think someone that high in rank get inside?

The game has Toni kill Miguel in the mission "Contra-Banned", but then he is somehow alive and well in GTA 3.

They should've used the Ferry to cross from Portland to Staunton Island (after Toni and Salvatore arrived at the safehouse, and the Ferry Strike is gone). Plus, the Ferry Port is also a few meters away to drive to Fort Staunton.
Not forget to mention,shoplifting in Maria's mission,at the last mart,we got 3 stars,kinda weird.

The real reason is because the LCPD attempted to connect Toni and Salvatore throughout 2001 but they failed to link them beyond Ma Cipriani's restaurant. So he had to keep a low profile and moved in with his Ma to avoid getting caught by the police and linking his affiliation to Salvatore after his crimes in LCS.
For the number 1 which you only get one star for killing the mayor, that's what I thought about killing Francis in GTA IV doesn't give you any wanted level, despite Francis being a superior in the LCPD. I've always thought you should get 6 stars for killing him.

Number zero - Luigi's Club
You see, in "Gta San Andreas: The introduction" video, which takes place in 1992, we can see Carl Johnson running around in Liberty City and we can also see the Luigi's Club, which looks exactly like it does in Gta 3.
But in Liberty City Stories, the game that takes place 6 years later, in 1998, we can see that the building where the Luigi's club took place in the third game is taken over by Sindaccos and has no signs that it was originally the Leone's club.
Well, it makes no sense in the storyline's timeline. Since "The introduction" was just a video and not really part of the game, I guess R* couldn't be bothered to check for loose ends or things that make no sense. The "Saint Marks Bistro" mission from GTA San Andreas also features cars with San Andreas plates and not Liberty City's ones. Either R* didn't care or they just got lazy.
I noticed something while I was planning gtalcs yesterday, there are two police officers that see Toni pick up Casa, Toni was the last person to be seen with Casa yet he is not charged with a crime
On your special mentions you know there's this thing called scale theory, in which IRL the cities & land are much bigger in size than in-game, so even if you don't see something in-game it is there canonically.

For #2, I'd imagine that they don't know exactly what the evidence was, could lead them to a snitch. For "Where is Salvatore being taken?", it's not the smartest thing to transport a high value target through the most direct path.
Another thing that doesn’t make sense is that in the introduction for San Andreas in 1992 you can see Luigi’s Club is open & owned by the Leones, but in Liberty City Stories it’s owned by the Sindaccos & the Leones take over the club in the story .
Clearly an error by Rockstar , but still makes no sense at all.

I think maybe in the mission where Salvatore has to be taken to court, maybe they used thos route because it is not the most direct, so the Sicilians would probably not have an ambush set , which they actually had set , and then the cops just panicked and took the direct route and hit every ambush point

Talking to Salvatore about mafia plans through the prison wall also makes no sense.
For why they didn't crush the car. They wanted to get rid of the evidence. Crushing the car would leave quite a mess in the compactor which would be human remains. Dumping the car in the lake makes it easier to cover up. To be frank Mickey should have just snapped his neck and threw him in the trunk. Bullets are too loud and messy.

To me i think the thing is secret service for the mayor were too egoistic to call the police, they probably wanted to do the job themselves and knew if police handled this they're jobs are gone. Thats probably why no police official gets involved

#1: The mayor was probably corrupted? Grand theft auto core value is lies, treachery & corruption. The mayor was so corrupted LCPD wouldn't care too much about him.
#2: Maybe Toni is meant to make a mistake? The player has no choice of actions influencing the story after all. Besides, making mistake is human nature.

I know in gta3 why Claude can't get into the club. But in LCS once the Leon's take over the club and Toni is a made man and eventually under boss you think someone that high in rank get inside?
