Studying what you need exactly when you need it and then doing it right away . Slowly but surely, this way you can practice the info you consume and don’t get overwhelemed😊

It is great to go past the surface, and focus on what really makes a good service designer. No person operates on their own, they operate in an environment with a client, colleagues, users, etc. A system. All people have expectations and behaviours. We, as service designers need to fit into that system.
The only one I would perhaps add is experience. It is not a skill, but I cannot see how you can have good service design without good experience of both what works and what does not work.

I love these videos. The discussions on the half-hour videos are really great, but unfortunately I don't have all that time.
These short videos are the solution for my everyday life. I'm a Industrial Design student and I'm really trying to cope into switching to Service Design, which I believe will allow me to think on a more strategic, curious and hollistic way when it comes to Design Thinking. It certainly expands your entire design knowledge universe in a new way.

Happy to hear you like the shorter videos. You could try our podcast for the interviews.

Thank you so much for this. I'm at the start of a new career in service design and your video has reminded me that I have the necessary skills even if I haven't mastered all the methodologies and tools yet. Major confidence boost, thank you.

Great episode! Very useful to be aware of these skills indeed. Do you have some more resources on facilitation skills, for example from David Sibbet as you mentioned? Thanks!!

Happy to hear you enjoyed the episode Sella! The best resource I can recommend if you want to level up your facilitation skills is the International Association of Facilitators (www.iaf-world.org/). Great community to hang around as a service designer.

According to you what should the portfolio, resume and cover letter have to apply for a service design job in UK and Europe?
