For easy cleaning I cut super absorbent puppy training pads to the shape of the litter box and just change the pad daily. I avoid the bad smell and I am also able to avoid having to pull the litter box out to completely clean it and wash it because the puppy pads don't allow the pee to soak through to the bottom of the pan. I have never had an easier time cleaning up his litter box and it's much cheaper than buying litter because I buy the large size pads and I am able to cut out 5 pads for his box from each puppy pad. Same. I have 2 eight week old males and they play in our bathroom all day and sleep in a hutch at night. Put a box in the corner with paper towel and a tiny amount of hay and poop from their cage the night before. They started using it right away and now only go in that area, not on the floor. Thanks so much!! Helped me out a lot! My bunny would sometimes go in the litter box but wasn’t for sure trained, after two days using this my bun stopped peeing and pooing out of the box!
Thank you so much for putting out this amazing video because we have tried that with our bunnies and they are already toilet trained after 2 hours! Thanks again
Are your bunnies spayed/neutered? We have a buck and doe, one 9 weeks and the other 11. We were planning on getting the buck neutered when he’s mature enough, but didn’t plan on the doe. I’m worried about her potty training if we don’t spay her.
Hi, great informative video. My rabbits live outside in hutches and runs and come in for cuddles, play and to run around the house. I use open litter trays in the hutches as rabbits need to eat their wet stools to get essential nutrients they don't get when they eat their food the first time round, the dry pellets are then produced. Your idea looks great for when they come indoors!
i have a holland lop bunny around 9 weeks old and 2 pounds, i tried so many cages i built a really big playpen i bought a dog playpen and he would be super messy and it was a lot of room and he never learned to be litter trained. what i did was switched him to a big dog cage, it was the biggest dog cage i forgot what size and i just put his food water hay a litter and 2 toys and he really likes it. i keep him in there throughout the day when i’m gone and when i’m home he roams free and it seems to work really well and he is learning faster.

Jack smith Rabbits eat while using the litter box, they could accidentally ingest the kitty litter. It's best to give them hay where they use the litter box and paper litter. Wood shavings and strongly scented kitty litter can harm the bunny.
You have a very smart rabbit! :D Clay litter has very fine dust which can cause pneumonia if a bunny digs in it a lot and deodorant crystals in some kitty litter are toxic. The clumping litter can clump inside the rabbit’s digestive and respiratory tract if they ingest or eat it. Corn cob cat litters can cause intestinal blockage as well. Paper based cat litter is safe. -- Its not a guarantee that bad things will happen..but I just warn people to be on the safe side.
Creative Pet Keeping Oh right. The one i use is a wood based pellet not clay. And yeah hes very smart but also not that smart in other ways haha. Like he knows that once hes been let out for about 3/4 hours he wont let me pet him near his hutch because he knows hes going to be put away (normally he loves being petted). But then if i mess around with anything in his hutch he goes in to see what im doing??? lol.

My bunny uses her litter box. Same one you have but she also still poop/pee on one side of the cage. I keep scooping it up and putting it in the litter box. Is there another way to stop her from going on the side of the cage and only in litter box?
Natural 1 try to disinfect the area with something, you should find something you can spray (almost like windex but it should say pet friendly or something) (you can find it at probably at pet store Petco, Petsmart etc) or move the litter box on top of that spot.
hii,do the hay they eat and the hay you put on the bunny bathroom/potty is the same? Im curious, i wanna teach my bunny. And i wanna know what do you put on yo absorb bunny pees?
A lot of people support using cat boxes but IMHO most cat boxes are worthless for rabbits. The sides are too low, and as you said they tend to spray urine up on the walls, plus they're more likely to dig it out. The crate style cat boxes might work if you can convince the rabbit to use it for the litter box and not as just a hidey hole. I used to use the mesh, but they still get poo stuck in the bars and they rust out easy so I don't use it now.
We have two rabbits and we put their littering box in our toilet, they are free roaming around in our house, they are not in the cage and everytime they poop and pee they go to their littering box..They're like human. Before, they like peeing and pooping everywhere so I put the littering box to the location where they used to pee/poop, after they got trained using the littering box then I transferred the littering box in our toilet. Now, everytime they poop/pee they always do in their littering box in our toilet. I used to clean it all the time, so our toilet will not be smelly..
I have to retrain my bunny soon, we don't want her cast to get stuck when she used the litter box and she has to have a small area so we can't get a tray. My dad really wants to move her outside but if she does get her leg amputated that might be a reason to keep her inside instead. If she does stay inside she will most likely be in my room. If that does happen I will save up babysitting money for the critter trail "petstore cage" as it is still 8 square feet during the night.
Thanks I’ve tried to watch other RUclips vids but they’re all to long and boring this one was nice and entertaining I’ll be coming back to your channel!!!❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡💛💛💚💚💙💙💜💜💞
Potatosarekillingme I disagree, putting bedding in the cage confuses bunnies during litter training. They will potty in it and then sit in the pee. It causes urine scald & sore hocks. Resting mats or grass mats are a much better option. Fleece Works good for some bunnies but others use the bathroom on fleece or chew it. So it will depend on your bunny.
Since I have a larger cage which also has a room that is always open i chose a cat litter box, it took a lot of size upgrades to get to the one I'm using now but she uses it a lot more, she was really bad at it and then she starting peeing in the box, that was the most important part for me but with her new litter box has encouraged her to use it more often, she still has accidents but she's pretty new to actually use it and too young to be spayed so i think she's doing good. Also I've heard bad things about wire litter boxes and my bunny will sometimes hang out in her litter box which also stops some poop problems
hello I really like your video mostly because I have a brand new baby bunny and need to train it and I like your videos because you are really nice to your bunny thank you!!!!!!!!!!
Your bunny looks EXACTLY like mine omg! Mine even has the same patterns are yours! MY rabbit is only younger and we only had her for like... Less than a month! What breed is your bunny? I definitely subscribed! :)
This is really smart cause they lo e to poop while they eat their hay mines pooping all around their food bowls but peeing in the litter box. Very good idea 💡
Don’t worry it’s normal for them to eat the hay out of the litter box! They will pick around anything that’s “soiled” so you don’t have to worry about them eating any nasty hay, and just be sure to throw out any hay in the litter box when you clean it! If you just set the hay in the box I would recommend getting some sort of hay feeder so you don’t go through the hay as quickly
I got my bunny on Friday and it’s Wednesday and he’s still not using his litter box :/ Update: It is Wednesday of the next week and he still isn’t trained :/ I’ve been cleaning up his poop several times a day but he won’t get it
I have a male and female..male since april of 2021 and he still goes all over the place..we got the female in july 2021..had litter box down less then 24 hrs..idk what to do with him..ive went through 2 hutches now..he has literally ate the hutches goes all over the place..amazing how fast the female caught on to it
Very helpful, as I'm currently struggling to find the perfect combo for my rabbit. I have the same litter box, but am having trouble finding the right litter.
Hello, great video...just wondering if your bunny was desexed before being litter trained ? My bunny teddy is 9 weeks old and I'm trying to train him,not much luck so far lol...and I've collected up all his poo and placed them on a paper towel in his litter trays...
I bought my rabbits two weeks ago, had them enclosed in a 4 x 4 feet space so I can potty train them. Three days later I gave them 10 x 7 feet of space . They pee in there tray, but they still poop outside the tray. They were born in July, females, not spayed yet. Any recommendations or tips to stop the poop would be highly appreciated
i do something similar but my bunny has is paper on top of the mesh so he’s not standing right on plastic while he goes. he still poops inside his bed and right outside the littler box, i’ll pick them up with paper towels and put them in the box but he still goes outside of it. it’s been a couple weeks, should i not put the littler on top would that help? i don’t know what to do he kinda poops every where lol he’s almost 4 months old
Thank you for this. Please may ask, is it true the rabbit needs to be neutered to be able to do this? What if the rabbit continues doing its business out side the litter box? Wud u recommend adding more poop to the litter tray.?
I have two bunnies one is the oldest and the other one we just got her and they are females too the older is already potty train but not the little one she is still learning
Hey! Nice video. Could you please tell me where you got your cage from? My boyfriend and I found a rabbit in the park the other day and we are struggling with organizing the living space of the bunny. Its a lionhead rabbit. Thanks in advance!
Heyy this helps a lot. But I want to know how you make your recycled paper into litter? I'm sorry my english is bad but i hope you can respond 🙏 tysmmm
Hi!! Adorable bunny🐰. I'm preparing for mine. I ordered the same litter box. I got a question, do I have to but extra litter/bedding to put inside of it. I was thinking to just buy pee pads that is orderless to put on the bottom, then put the white wire bottom on top of it, and then put hay next to it so my future bunny can munch and poop/pee.
Creative Pet Keeping yes that makes a lot of sense. Thank you so much. Amazon already sent the litter box, it was so fast and was on sale which I'm happy about. The jumbo size is huge, I was surprised to see how big it was lol. But I love it🤗
I have a quick question I use to raise rabbits as I have never thought of litter trading my bunnies so I know how to tack care of my bunnies .I love them so much and a friend gave me a pure bred dwarf hoto and she is an indoor bunny only and I can't litter train her I don't know why and I need some tips please.
Hey. Could you explain why do I put some of this "grass" into the toilet? Also, what shoudl I put over the toilet? This metal ball with the food and water?
Hey!! I have a bunny, she was really agressive when I got her (she was already an adult) so we never let her out of the cage. However I start "trainning" her every day, for about an year. That's how long it took for her to stop bitting me. Now she walks free around the house but she started pooping right next to her cage, on top of a blanket where she sleeps. How can I make her stop pooping there? Thank you!!
Joana Martins Just move your bunny's poop to your litter box and take a tissue, wipe the pee, and put that into the litter box. Or, you can just put the litter box where she likes to 'go.' I hope i helped, after this long time hehe. I also got a new bunny, his name is Oreo, Ori for short. 2 month old Fuzzy Lop, and a male.
zarapawz Hey!! That's a good idea! I'm going to try it! She likes to poop on my dogs bed now and on my bedroom carpet 😅 Can't put the litter box there xD Her name is Potato :3

I’m gonna try this out! I recently got two rabbits and they decide to sleep in the litter box and pee right beside it 💀
I have to retrain my bunny soon, we don't want her cast to get stuck when she used the litter box and she has to have a small area so we can't get a tray. My dad really wants to move her outside but if she does get her leg amputated that might be a reason to keep her inside instead. If she does stay inside she will most likely be in my room. If that does happen I will save up babysitting money for the critter trail "petstore cage" as it is still 8 square feet during the night.
I have a 4 week rabbit
When is the best for me to start training my bunny ?
How are 2 dogs and this bunny roaming around freely without the bunny getting hurt?
Thanks I’ve tried to watch other RUclips vids but they’re all to long and boring this one was nice and entertaining I’ll be coming back to your channel!!!❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡💛💛💚💚💙💙💜💜💞
IS THAT A LION HEAD DUTCH MIX OMG OMG IN LOVVVVEEE.. I'm adopting a Dutch and I have lop but omg so much love for that bunn
I’d suggest to put bedding in the cage! It makes it way more comfy for them :)
Just got a rescue bunny today and she’s so cute but she just hasn’t been taught how to do anything
teach her
@@lilyo5248 aaaaand what do u think I’m trying to do, if I’m watching this vid
I would use a dog pee pad under the litter box btw to make sure the rabbits waste is normal and so the box stays clean
I really like your cage! How do I get hold of something like this of the same dimension???
hello I really like your video mostly because I have a brand new baby bunny and need to train it and I like your videos because you are really nice to your bunny thank you!!!!!!!!!!
This helped my daughter so much and she is doing it right
Yay!! another bunny videos. more of mochi please!!😍💕🐇
Your bunny looks EXACTLY like mine omg! Mine even has the same patterns are yours! MY rabbit is only younger and we only had her for like... Less than a month! What breed is your bunny? I definitely subscribed! :)
luisfruelas1 I believe those are considered Lionheads :)
looks like a dutch x lion head . Dutch is the pattern, lion head because of it's fluffy neck!
This is really smart cause they lo e to poop while they eat their hay mines pooping all around their food bowls but peeing in the litter box. Very good idea 💡
My rabbit just shoves it out the way 😂
where'd you get her toys? i need to get more for my baby
I look in the parrot section of the pet store
Creative Pet Keeping thanks!

Nice vid. Really helps to know how to litter train my mischievous little bunnies.

Why is your dogs tail pink and yellow 😂😂loved this video ❤️

@@livzerdyt2508 So much.
As soon as I finished setting everything up my bunny went right to the box and mixed everything even more. i don’t have a mesh but somehow no mess yet
Umm my bunny eats the grass at his litter box, how will I control that
Lyneth Glorioso do you mean the hay?
If you mean the hat they have eat that
@@khloegonzales1433 yes, the hay
They are supposed to eat the hay out of it so that’s good
Don’t worry it’s normal for them to eat the hay out of the litter box! They will pick around anything that’s “soiled” so you don’t have to worry about them eating any nasty hay, and just be sure to throw out any hay in the litter box when you clean it! If you just set the hay in the box I would recommend getting some sort of hay feeder so you don’t go through the hay as quickly
I got my bunny on Friday and it’s Wednesday and he’s still not using his litter box :/
Update: It is Wednesday of the next week and he still isn’t trained :/ I’ve been cleaning up his poop several times a day but he won’t get it
it takes longer than a week and they get better at it once they’re spayed/neutered
How soon can you start with the trining ? I got one today , she’s 5 weeks
I have a male and female..male since april of 2021 and he still goes all over the place..we got the female in july 2021..had litter box down less then 24 hrs..idk what to do with him..ive went through 2 hutches now..he has literally ate the hutches goes all over the place..amazing how fast the female caught on to it
Can u just use hay instead? For the litter box ground thingy If not where can I get it? Xx
hi creative pet keeping I really enjoy your videos. Can you do a video showing all of your animals
My bunny poops everywhere but in her litter box. I don't know why or what her problem is.
Aleta Suess same 😩
Very helpful, as I'm currently struggling to find the perfect combo for my rabbit. I have the same litter box, but am having trouble finding the right litter.
How much time it takes for bunny to get used to it?
Hello, great video...just wondering if your bunny was desexed before being litter trained ? My bunny teddy is 9 weeks old and I'm trying to train him,not much luck so far lol...and I've collected up all his poo and placed them on a paper towel in his litter trays...
What breed is bunny?
I bought my rabbits two weeks ago, had them enclosed in a 4 x 4 feet space so I can potty train them. Three days later I gave them 10 x 7 feet of space . They pee in there tray, but they still poop outside the tray. They were born in July, females, not spayed yet.
Any recommendations or tips to stop the poop would be highly appreciated
i do something similar but my bunny has is paper on top of the mesh so he’s not standing right on plastic while he goes. he still poops inside his bed and right outside the littler box, i’ll pick them up with paper towels and put them in the box but he still goes outside of it. it’s been a couple weeks, should i not put the littler on top would that help? i don’t know what to do he kinda poops every where lol he’s almost 4 months old
We got 3 rabbits but one of them doesn't go to one spot she does where she wanna do it
how can i get her on the same spot like the other 2 does?
I’m really late to watch this I got my bunny yesterday and the video really helped. Also what kind of cage do you have?
:D
Thank you for this. Please may ask, is it true the rabbit needs to be neutered to be able to do this? What if the rabbit continues doing its business out side the litter box? Wud u recommend adding more poop to the litter tray.?
I have two bunnies one is the oldest and the other one we just got her and they are females too the older is already potty train but not the little one she is still learning
Hello. I have a few questions. What size is that litter box, the jumbo or the regular? Also what cage is that? Tfs. I need to train a bunny.
Thank you so much for you’re help! This video is very informative! :D
Thank you, I love bunnies!
Could you use like care fresh bedding ?
Hey! Nice video. Could you please tell me where you got your cage from? My boyfriend and I found a rabbit in the park the other day and we are struggling with organizing the living space of the bunny. Its a lionhead rabbit. Thanks in advance!
I got the cage from pet supplies plus, but recomend getting a bigger one then the one I got.
Creative Pet Keeping thank you very much for your answer! Have a lovely day!
Will that give her sore hocks on her feet because the litter box as a wire at the bottom?
That only happens to bunnies who have entire wire cages so they are on wire 24/7. She's only on there to go potty
I'll probably just use the somewhat shallow 4gallon bin I have. It looks a lot like a regular cat box but its just a bin
I have 2 kids, car is better or bunny?
also, is bunny stinky? like dog
I have the same little box but my Bunny never learned!! 😭
this really helped me cuz i just got a new bunny today
Heyy this helps a lot. But I want to know how you make your recycled paper into litter? I'm sorry my english is bad but i hope you can respond 🙏 tysmmm
Maybe also add a big hay beding on top cause this cages cause injuries on bunnies' paws. If you have experienced such an injury, notify us please.
That will work out fine, bunnies like to pee where their hay is you it might help to put the hay above the litter box
Creative Pet Keeping yes that makes a lot of sense. Thank you so much. Amazon already sent the litter box, it was so fast and was on sale which I'm happy about. The jumbo size is huge, I was surprised to see how big it was lol. But I love it🤗
Hi! I have a new bunny and was wondering if you could send me the brand of litter you use? Thank you 🥰
MOCHI IS SO CUTE😍😍😍
I have a quick question I use to raise rabbits as I have never thought of litter trading my bunnies so I know how to tack care of my bunnies .I love them so much and a friend gave me a pure bred dwarf hoto and she is an indoor bunny only and I can't litter train her I don't know why and I need some tips please.
just want to ask.. is it ok for them chewing cardboards and papers?? i wonder it will upset their stomach.. thanks..
It's okay for them to chew paper and cardboard as long as there aren't any harmful chemicals or glue on them.
Joana Martins really? 😂 happy i helped hahaha XD
