Would like to see 10 games with both Barnes and IQ on the floor to be more comfortable with the fit, on paper it should work, but basketball is not play paper
How you should go about it Next year Starting 5 Bench rotation- Possible players to bring and help We do need 2 wings/ size/ shooting/ defenders like Scottie Barnes. If not we can’t win
Good show by the way. When you say the Raptors have been worse offensively with Scottie on the floor. Why not add the numbers for the other end of the court (defence). Two side to basketball, I’m just saying.
We did, actually! We talked about Scottie's overall on/offs, said he was still far and away the Raptors best player and said that he's very impactful! So, I'm not sure what you mean
@@samsonfolk2946I mean, even though Scottie is trying to find himself offensively. Some viewers may not know that, the team is much improved defensively with him on the court. Just something i thought would be important to add with the offensive context.
It's getting old.. in the past when Scottie was being passive and letting others get their touches, they criticized his impact on the court. Last year he showed much more range and had higher usage so they criticized his ability to run an offense and weak handle. He worked on those things and this year being a development year he has clearly been told to be the first option and take high difficulty/range shots on volume. After altering his shooting form and range there are going to be growing pains, but that is what development means. Zatsmans opinions are irrelevant at this point, he has some weird bias that doesn't match the numbers or eye test. I'll be shocked if a healthy Barnes has as bad a shooting game this year as we saw last night.
@@samsonfolk2946how many possessions do you evaluate as the cutoff? On cleaning the glass a lot of lineups with Scottie and shooters like Ochai and Gradey have the highest pts/possessions. He plays a lot of minutes with the bench because once again this is a development year. He is being told to take shots outside his comfort zone and at volume. So with that context is it fair to say the offense is worse with Scottie on the court and does that match your eye test? It's hard using numbers or judging play in utterly meaningless games where the organizations priority is clearly not winning the game.
The last few minutes of the Nets game laid bare the undeniable fact that Darko has no intention of holding players to account this season. It's all about proving to Scottie that he isn't the best judge of this.
It’s interesting you chose a defensive bastard. That must mean you believe we have a closer on the roster already? Or that it’s less of a pressing need?
I think I learn more from the mailbag pods than any other basketball pod. I very much appreciate it.
More like this! Great pod

I hope someone gets to work on the "running the pick and roll with Jesus" t-shirts in time for Christmas. ;)
Great podcast

We need centers bro. We’re 1 Jak injury away from 0 wins ever. Our team falls when we can rebound. We need guys like Goga, gafford,

I think they are on the right track but I believe they need to mature or get a veteran leader to show them the way to win games
I would love to see Paul Pearce and Ja Morant interview each other about inclusion.
