I know this is an old video so I may not get a response but I'm wondering where you learned to edit videos? You have lots of little quirks edited in that make the video very entertaining, I've been teaching myself how to edit, and learning all those little tricks is quite difficult. Did you have previous experience? What helped you get better? Also, I've been wanting to create a channel for a LONG time but I'm having trouble mustering the courage as I am pretty camera shy. Hi Tanner!! Thanks so much for checking out my videos after the Iced coffee hour episode 😊 Happy to answer your questions! 🎉 (And thank you for your nice words hehe). I learned to edit by looking it up on youtube! I.e, if I didn't know how to do something (like the silly zooms, inserting objects/text/and overlays) I just looked it up on youtube :) So I'm self-taught! I had no previous experience besides knowing how to cut out the "ummmss" and pauses (I used to make silly videos for my dad's birthdays, so that's when I learned how to cut videos down. Learned that through playing around on iMovie back in the day). I used iMovie for all of my videos up until "How I profit $110/hour video," at which point I switched over to final cut pro. So practice and watching other youtubers is how I got better 😊 In terms of being in front of a camera, I was a model in high school which helped haha but I've never been camera shy for whatever reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's just something to get used to, as awkward as it might feel at first. I made my first video partially because I had this "gap year" at home during corona so wanted something fun to do with my time since I couldn't travel, but also because part of me always wanted to make a RUclips channel and reselling gave me just the right niche to get started :) Thanks so much again for watching!! Maybe I'll make a vid expanding on all these points soon 😊
