Your suggestion of calling out the a number at three different locations down the sheet. Awesome. Is the front end responsible for the weight while the skip is responsible for the line. Is this a hard and fast rule? At what point on the sheet can the front end veto the skip's call on weight? Ferbey Four!!!
The sweepers always have veto on weight (unless they're newbies :)) and the skip always has line. The sweepers communicate the weight to the skip, the skip then makes sweeping calls based on line and the weight the sweepers called. That back and forth is repeated as the stone travels down the sheet.

Are you calling the weight the rock would go without sweeping. I think you need to include sweeping if you are already sweeping.
Correct, no sweeping with this exercise. The goal is to just call the zone of where the stone will stop on it's own.
