Seems as though the front end needs some more substantial suspension under it... I find that the large shocks from, say, the Unimog or Rock Crawler work quite well. I basically rebuilt the Extreme Off-Roader 2 using them and your front/rear independent driven axels.
I wish this was a real set, I'd buy it in a heartbeat, lol. If you were to sell this model all together (Truck, trailer and tank), what would you charge. I know you've broken it up for other models, and wouldn't sell them anyway, but I'm just curious :P
Perhaps if you had added a winch to the trailer you might have had better success with loading the tank, although you would have probably needed a 2nd IR receiver for that

The two front axles sometimes go out-of-sync a bit because of how much weight is sitting on top of them.
