Carlton Colville is a lovely museum, I visited to record an event at Easter where a Blackpool tram returned to service after a restoration which lasted over 10 years.
London really would benefit from an expanded tram network. It does of course have a tram network still, covering the South London area around Croydon, but it would certainly be a great thing to see trams return to the heart of the city one day. Manchester has the largest network in the UK currently.
Dont forget to keep a watch out for Part 2 and 3 of my Manchester visit coming over the next couple days. I have also recently recorded the Edinburgh tram system and plan to visit Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham systems over the next few weeks.
Although I don’t remember trams in London, I have ridden a London tram at the museum in Carlton Colville in Suffolk.

Not bad!! In a way I wish that London would take the tram back, and that the people would take them into their hearts!!
