᎒ Following the timeline from the Anime, during the sports festival the League of Villains aren't as popular as they are in the current timeline of my AU. It was rather lonely in the bade as it was only Shigaraki, Kurogiri and Deku. Most of the others joined after this time period because ofc, the Stain Arc happens after the sports festival arc.
At this time, Deku and Shigaraki are already starting to loosen up with eachother. They don't talk with eachother much hut they do start to open up to one another. Just like the anime, Shigaraki is watching the sports festival but of course in this Au, Deku is also along side with him. Deku has always been excited to watch the sports festivals and he wouldn't miss it. Every year he'll always be ready to prep his notebook and pen waiting to see and learn about new quirks. He'll always have his mother with him and both of them would always eat snacks while watching the sports festival on live TV. Though he hasn't done those things for some years now. He'll still watch the sports festival and take some notes down but since the accident that happened to his mom happened during his second year of middle school, he couldn't actually do it without tearing up remembering the memories they had together.
2 years later, he finally got himself together. He stopped holding tight to the memories he had always wanted to repeat and started to slowly move on. Though, it would be a lie to say that he doesn't look back to the memories anymore. He does and still yearns it at times.

As Shigaraki and Deku sat down on the bar stools they had at the base, they made it on the perfect timing. As they watched opening to the sports festival, kurogiri had prepared them drinks to enjoy. Deku refused every drinks that Kurogiri offered so he just settled with a bottle of water. As they continued, they had arrived at the last opening event if the sports festival and that was a speech from the Hero Course Representative. The representative was the individual who finished first in the entrance exam and all and behold.. It was Bakugou Katsuki
Deku was stunned seeing Bakugou as the representative for the hero course and he felt angry, confused and even disappointed. It was a mix of emotions for Deku. It was clear to him that the heroes don't actually care about how the students behaved, but they cared more about their strengths. If a person with an attitude as shitty as Bakugou Katsuki gets into UA and possibly become a top hero, aren't the Heroes just ruining their image as the people who are supposed to be “kind” or “helpfull”. UA doesn't even know what sorts of things he did in middle school. Only Deku did and he was beyond furious. It's not like Bakugou had any bad records under his name. The teachers didn't even bother to help Deku when he needed them most. Their old middle school was so desperate to have one of their students to get into UA so they protected Bakugous record. Keeping his files clean in order to not sabotage his chances of getting into UA.

As Bakugou spouted the words he had to say, Deku was stunned and was not interested in watching the sports festival anymore. He didn't bother anymore. The moment he saw Bakugou already ruined his mood so he got up and requested Kurogiri to send him back to his place.
“The fun part hasn't even started yet, you're bailing out already?” Shigaraki said while still having his eyes on the screen
“I'm not interested anymore. If I want to watch it, I'll watch the recorded version” Deku replied.
“Mm whatever then”
