Huzzah, the Survivors live up to their name and, well, survive a monster encounter! Really enjoyed the increased pacing of this one, it suits the intensity of the confrontation 👏
@@anawfulfeeling I loved this! Especially your intros; always wonderful and thematic. I also continue to be impressed by your editing, the fade-in's and cuts are all so good! Also, I initially wasn't sure about the way you were summarizing the fights (I tend to like long format videos), but it really works and I like how "tight" and focused it makes them. It's nice not having to set aside a full hour (or more) to watch a fight. Although, your commentary and narration is so fun and good that I wouldn't mind it if your videos were longer. My favorite part was when Gorm had your entire group knocked down and was about to go on a rampage, but then couldn't bear its own weight and clumsily joined you on the ground instead. Hilariously lucky! I just love the emergent stories this game produces. Looking forward to the next two videos, especially the Gamblers Chest. I'm a late arrival to KDM (since only a year or so ago)so I'll have to find a copy when they emerge in the wild (which should be very soon!).
@@zacmackey thank you so much for the extremely thoughtful comment! 🖤i'm glad the improvements i'm gradually making to my editing come through, i've been finding little ways here and there to make things feel more polished. i do struggle every video with whether to take a looser and less snappy approach, but it's so hard to keep sight of that when you're in the editing trenches! i'm actually thinking of starting an offshoot channel where i do "boring" content where i just amble through a topic or a showdown for 45 minutes. i hadn't realised you were a (relatively) recent KD:M adopter! it's really reassuring to hear that people are still discovering the game!
@@anawfulfeeling The improvements are definitely showing! Happy to see you enjoy making this content as well, we really do need more KD:M on RUclips. I can only imagine how difficult it is to edit these videos, so if you decide you want to create more long format videos on an offshoot channel I would watch it! And yeah, I looked back to when I bought it and it was August of 2021, so 2 years in at this point. I hadn't really known about big box board games and this was one of my first forays into the hobby, and it hooked me; I love it! And, I think Gamblers Chest will bring more new people into the fold as well, and renew some hype around the game.
Question for you Ma'am! I have the Gorm Expansion in KDS and seem to have everything except the book with all the story/detail information fro running a Gorm game...any ideas on where it may be hidden? I have looked in the chests and all over the game room...not sure if it is a glitch or what. I seem to remember seeing it when I unboxed the expansion. And my Spidercles Book is on the shelf...
@@mikeanderson8252 i noticed that sometimes when you unbox an expansion the book for it can go missing! once it was on the shelf but invisible until i hovered over it, so it might be worth mousing over the bookshelf to see if it's being sneaky. if not, resetting your room should make it reappear, but make sure you screenshot anything important!
Level 2 Gorm messes you up before the fight and has an annoying trait(Musth) but the fight is managable but the Level 3 Gorm has Ancient Tusks and Gormyard which drags out the fight and gives the gorm time to shred your defense.
Another fantastic Video! I love how you recaptured every survivor's special traits and history to update the viewers who might not recall all the details from the last fight. The fight itself, your editing and the pacing were insanely good, just don't go any faster in my opinion as this is on the edge of speed I am able to follow along in a good way 😅. And it is so amazing to see some of your painted minis in the video - although Gorm as your new YT avatar is quite disturbing for me 😂. Thank you for all the efforts made! I am not sure if you need a second channel to do some other-style videos, but I have no clue about YT alvorithm as well 🙈. Looking forward to the next one 🖤
thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback as always! 🖤 it’s really useful to hear that the speed is on the upper end of comprehensible, i’m going to take that as a sign to slow down a bit next video. i bet there are non-native speakers that i’m going a bit too fast for sometimes! i hope my horrifying new profile picture is at least memorable! 😆
I would say if anyone was looking to buy just one expansion monster, the two I would suggest to pick from would either be The Gorm, because having more options for early-game monsters in a game where campaigns usually don't make it to the end gives you a lot of value, or the Dragon King, because its alternate campaign is interesting and the model itself is so awesome.
yes! i absolutely will! i’ve already got several more lantern years recorded, i just need to edit them - i’ll try and do that early next year! i’m so glad you’ve found the ones so far useful 🖤
The gorm has a really nice difficulty curve with his levels 1 2 and 3. Also I can't believe your luck to score an active thyroid so early! Shame you missed the death blow.
we had such good luck this fight! so far we’ve had a fairly easy time with level 1, but level 2 has been super hard. i hope we get there again with this campaign!
i’m glad you liked it! 🖤 i often think about releasing unabridged versions but i’m worried they would be too boring! also because i usually play with two girlfriends from my IRL group we’re usually chitchatting about stuff most of the time. i’ll see if i can come up with a good way to produce unabridged showdowns!
@@anawfulfeeling that would be awesome. Even if it’s like a separate account or like a Patreon access ones. I like to listen/watch people play while painting and those conversations/reactions to rolls add a little something rather than a play by play. But that’s just my 2 cents
i sincerely appreciate it! it’s really useful to know what people would like to see 🖤 i’ve made a channel called ‘a tepid, unpleasant feeling’ for any boring videos i make in the future 😁
@@anawfulfeeling I certainly hope so. I'm not sure about some of the offerings like building and painting minis in-game. I don't have enough time to do that already lol. There's a few things I'd automate on that but maybe it's from the same perspective as those PC building simulators, and they want to show what it's like to own a copy. Chances are you already do if you have access, so it's a bit strange.
You make very good content, and it’s nice to see a woman as well, as there are far too many men in this industry. My eldest daughter is beginning to like complex board games, which makes me happy!
The bit where everyone just has a little lie down together mid-fight 😅
looool cracks me up!!
I love how there was a turn where literally everyone, even the monster, all fell down, like some ridiculous comedy bit.
me too, i love how silly stuff like that happens in this game!

I love your Bor highlights, it is absolutely hilarious
thank you!! i love being able to pass on Bor fan mail 🖤
If a wound would kill a monster, you ignore its reaction! Great vids, Ive been looking for edited playthroughs on youtube and this one is very cozy
thank you! i'm so glad you find the series cozy! 🖤
the only quarry I am afraid to be in front of or in its blind spot - always flanking :) also hit locations manipulation tools is a must have
This channel is the definitive KDM channel! Thank you for all the work you do!
comments like this make my day!! thank you! 🖤
Not sure I’ll get to watch it live, but I’m looking forward to this video!
i think it's pretty good! i look forward to hearing what you think! 🖤

Keep up the good work, it was awesome to hear the events with gorm and see what it is like fighting them. Excited for the next video!
thank you so much! 🖤
As always, great job!!! Looking forward to the next video 😊 keep up the fantastic job!

Amazing Aenima paintjob on the Gorm's eyes!
Kingdom Death AND Tool fan is some combination, jeez...
Drew did an amazing job with the brief i gave him! i think you’re the first person to say they got the Tool reference!

exciting!!
