- I have always wanted to revisit certain people I have met along my unpredictable journey of stand up. These are people who are not influenced by their surroundings but found a way going against the grind. The lovely insights I had with such artists helped me reaffirm that I was on the right path. Like riding, every turn you take is based off your instinct and not necessarily through reason.
Thanks to Royal Enfield, I get to combine my love for art and the art of riding with this series. "Getting There" is about sharing our mutual learnings as we trudged along a very unfamiliar path with an audience.
Ritviz, The second guest of the series, is a man without a plan. He genuinely leads his life through his instinct which has enabled him to create such sincere and original music. From the moment I met him, We made an instant connection that still lasts today when we meet.
We both bond over the fact that we never thought we would achieve all that we have so far and yet it feels like there is something more. I admire his creative process and almost am mortified by the lack of structure. I guess I have a lot to learn from him.

You need cash for that though , maybe once you've made your niche, sponsors may help u out...that's what I intended to say.

*My motorcycle story*
Fed up with my routine and regular lifestyle as any other “software developer”, I decided to give it up and travel across for a weekend. I left my phone and all contact and took my bike and drove to Kerala where I met an orphan looking for shelter. Neither did I understand his language nor did he understand mine. All we both knew that both of us were lost, lost in our own ways and lost in our own “mechanical” worlds. He became my guide and I became his guide as we discovered the unexplored parts of Kerala that weekend. We didn’t go to the typical tourist places nor did we visit the “iconic” places. All we did was live. Lived those moments and dropped him back safely with help from localities.
At the end, it’s the journey which matters and not the destination.
Back to software development also.
Let’s see where this journey goes.

So my dad and I would go on these bike rides every sunday morning / afternoon all through my growing years, (say from age 4-5 to 13-14 years) and we just spoke about anything and every thing ranging from sports, school activities, my dad's life, decisions things that really define me. Usually we would have some fruit juice, some ice cream just drive around carter road or bandstand. It was a sort of routine but flexible with him either picking me up from tuitions or classes or getting groceries.
Now as I sit in a different country living independently and look back at my life choices, I think its really those moments, those carefree sunday morning rides that gave me the confidence to do everything I have achieved in my life. In fact only after watching getting there did i remember this memory, so thank you for that.

Had a great bonding time with my little brother in Goa. Went in the evening bike ride on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. Since my trip was for 6 days, I made sure went out every single day. The sound, comfort, speed and the beauty it’s just awesome#getting there

Me and a "biker" friend of mine went from Chennai to Pondicherry in 6 hours! SIX HOURS FOR A 180km ride on a highway! No problems with bikes or anything. It just was too beautiful to be going too fast and miss everything around us!

Well I bought a Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 2 years ago when I was 19 my parents were scared to let me go on a ride because they thought I was too young and I had no safety gears because they were expensive . But anyways one me and friends decided to go on ride after 2 months after I got my bike . We rode about 145 km to a waterfall near Bangalore and we can back the time our college was over , that I tell you gave me boost of confidence , which I haven't lost till now . Seriously riding is the best get away from reality I've experienced it's rejuvenating and peaceful, and Kenny looking forward for more such videos. #gettingthere

@Kenny - Firstly We found this series really cool! We means I & my wife. We have attended one of your show in Bandra as well, sitting in the 1st row was fun! Talking about our road trip memory is super special, its just last Nov'19 we were in Goa for a vacation. The interesting part is my wife's native is Goa & at her place nobody rides a two-wheeler due to safety concerns! On the Contrary I have been using a bike during my college days..As we are in our 1st year of marriage, we are excited to try new stuff or try unexplored adventures. This time we hired a motorbike and explored Goa on the 2 wheels for 5 days!!! Our agenda was clear -- To see goa beyond clubs and beaches. As we are foodies, we tried multiple food joints, cafes, date night places and lot more. We also tapped upon heritage walks of Goa! Truly #gettingthere (to Goa) on 2 wheels with your loved one was indeed a memory to cherish for a lifetime!
This is my story of #Gettingthere which happened 2 months ago. As you all know MBA's usually ends in March and all the batch gets placed by January. i got a well paying job in Marketing and I was happy for next 2 weeks. I felt that something was missing in my life and then there came the biggest adventure of my life. Two Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350x, 6 days, 2500 kms of ride. I started from Banglore and explored entire of South till Rameshwaram (the very last point of India). Be it riding the bike to beaches of Dhanushkodi, steep ghats of Ooty, traffic of Banglore or plains of Polachi, my thunderbird saw it all and in the end I was left with memories for a lifetime.
I traveled a solo trip on my Yamaha R15 v2 which took me 15 days when i was 18, from Chandigarh-Delhi-Bhangarh-Jaipur-Ajmer-Jodhpur and back Jodhpur-Jaipur-Chandigarh, one of the most memorable trips of my life yet.
Another lesson from ritviz that attachment with family is so important if you want to successful or atleast give them a try, they might like it..
