    Listen people...never charge a lithium ion battery like this...these batteries require a proper regulated voltage with feedback charging to get charged properly...if you are curious and still want to do such kind of experiment then conect two diodes of 2A(min) rating in series with the 5v power supply to drop the voltage upto the safe limit...otherwise you will see a bad day

    Daibode (as you pronounced) keya hai bhai!. It is diode. Are you qualified? Max allowable voltage of lithium-ion battery is 4.2 v. To maintain this, a bms is must to avoid accident. Don't take risk and teach unscientific ways.

    3.7v zener diode in opposite directions to existing. (provided by you). quelcheing action will take place.
    Put 2 diodes in series (5v charger) to reduce charging voltage.

    Two days ago, I made a silly mistake by connecting a 12V charger to a new 18650 Li-ion battery. It exploded and I luckily was a bit far, so I escaped. I share this experience with everyone on You Tube. Never blindly connect Lithium batteries to phone chargers. As shown, connect a diode or use a proper charger . The lithium metal inside a 18650 is highly toxic and can catch fire if put into water.

    I have seen another vedio related to connect diode across the battery terminals. I think that is more logical. "" Use IN4007 diode 6 numbers in series and connect like this, and use the battery pack . This is a time being mechanism instead of b.m.s. diode voltage drop is .7 to.8 in low voltage. So .7×6= 4.2. this may be more logical. Every one recommends b.m.s only.

    Bhai, ulta jis battery ko diode lagaya hai uska temperature jyada (184) bata raha hai... aur without diode wali battery ka 178 bata raha hai...

      Kindly don't use this method. Lithium ion batteries require constant current and constant voltage for charging. This method may explode you battery and may catch fire. So be safe and use proper charging circuit.

    Acche se samjhata hun battery blast kaise hogi se pahli baat to yah hai diode ek taraf ki voltage ko jaane deta hai aur dusre taraf ki voltage ko jaane nahin deta yani ki agar positive wala positive mein aur negative or negative mein laga hua hai to iska matlab yah hai ki diode ya to positive wala supply negative mein bhej raha hai ya fir negative wala supply positive mein bhej raha hai aise to battery short hokar kharab ho jayegi ya fir jyada bada blast bhi ho sakta hai
