There is of course โno excuseโ given here and I donโt want to imply any. Sometimes we all struggle with our pasts no matter how long they have passed. I believe that itโs very important to not hold onto these detached emotional connections when in a relationship for very long if it can be helped. There is a difference between needing time to yourself to reassure yourself emotionally,โฆ and the continuation of the silent treatment. Honestly the silent treatment is one of the hardest struggles one can have. Itโs needed for the person who sufferers but it harms the loved one probably more so. Itโs really a struggle many people faceโฆ just my thoughts on this topic
I understand, we all deal with trauma differently and even though detached behaviours in a lot of cases can be understood, they should never be tolerated if it negatively impacts you.
