Thank you Griffpatch! I once started scratch and had no idea how to do anything. I used your tutorials and now I was recently awarded the "Scratcher" rank thanks to you! Thank you.
It's so amazing to see Scratch being able to create things like this. Before when I was a beginner, I thought scratch is too simple and won't have that much advance stuff. I was so wrong
same. it's not better than python, but it's still really advanced! i thought it was too simple when i started at a las vegas airport, but today, ive gotten better!
That would be cool if griffpatch made a Scratch City game where you can play with others and you can drive around it, get a house, save your world, and get money! Like a real life Scratch City game! Griffpatch please reply your idea :)

I suggest you can hide the arrow (front wheels.) Don't delete it, though, just hide it if you want it to be more realistic. Add a When green flag is clicked, followed by hide at the code section of the sprite front wheels. Hope you like my idea.
Amazing tutorial! I love the way you explained inverse kinematics in a fitting context. In your actual games, do you hardcode the level starting positions, or would you store them in lists?
Can someone please explain where I messed up? I tested it out at 14:37, and with 1 click of the up arrow button, I instantly teleported to the other side vertically.
17:10 Instead of making a separate if check you can just make a list filled with all the target x and y positions. It's up to you if you want 1 list with both the x and y positions or 2 lists each with the x and y positions separately. To get the correct position under the define setup block just put a go to x y item level of your target position list.
Thank you for your support I really wanted to learn to code and you have helped me do that. Your tutorials are amazing and inspired me. Keep up the great work!!
Griff patch thank you so much!! for this tutorial this really helped me with coding because I was not that successful in making games in scratch thanks a lot! But for some reason on the description the link to the scratch tools you use for your tutorials the link said sorry error 404 code this url is not found. So is the link banned or is it not working?
Hey griffpatch! I found a bug in one of your extensions (I have both of them installed) where if you use CTRL + Space to make a block and you make the "Stop [other scripts in the sprite]" block the block doesn't have a connector (like all the other stop blocks) while the regular block has the connector. Thanks!
i am not even half way through the video, and i copied all the script from the parking box, and i it is not working for me. :( can you help me a bit on this griffpatch?
I love your tutorials. I'm also doing Scratch tutorials but in french. I am also using Camtasia. Could you share a bit about the method you use to produce each video? Doing a video takes me so much time (to get something not bad but not good enough). I search a way to improve my workflow. Thanks in advance.
Some tips: 1. You can change background (and even make it change each level like the obstacles) 2. You can make it show when you arent in the parking slot fully by duplicating the outline and change its color, then place the changer into the IF TOUCHING OUTLINE AND CENTER
amazing tutorial but you know when were making the turn graphics when I take out the block 'direction of car body' the 'car body' and 'direction' dont come up. It would really help if you could tell me hoe to fix this. TYSM
Do you mean you can't find the block? If so, go to sensing and and get the block labeled: backdrop# of stage. Click on the drop down box of the word "stage" and click "car body" then go to the word "backdrop#" and click "direction". I hope I helped!

Amazing tutorial! I love the way you explained inverse kinematics in a fitting context. In your actual games, do you hardcode the level starting positions, or would you store them in lists?
Depends on how many levels
it does not working 😢
wouldnt it be more efficient to make a list with all te positions and starting angles of the car and finish?
Wow 🤩 I always want to code after seen one of your tutorials 😲
