The Malle Moto class (or as it's known now 'The Original by Motul' class) is one of the toughest classes to race at the Dakar Rally. Riders have no support crew, they must work on their bikes themselves and this is obviously exhausting, especially with late nights and early starts. These riders are the true warriors, and the heart and soul, of the Dakar Rally.

For years I have wondered why Redbull doesn't run a specific category called malle moto - there would be a massive demand for such an episode - these are the real heroes of the race and there are compelling stories within each race - come on - I dare you!
At least it's got the backing of Motul, which is always nice

Hey Red Bull! Please show more of this category. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing the pros hauling ass and then getting massages in between stages. However, Malle Moto is where the real Dakar hero's are.

I love when competitors help a complete stranger, so they have someone there to race against the next day.
U only seem to find this in motor sport and definitely wouldn’t see this in football. That’s why I love this sport 👍🇬🇧

I really wish the Malle Moto had greater coverage. Kind of like the Olympics, Media will only broadcast what the execs feel is monetary making, not the true meaning of competition. Its not good viewing if the public sees the same top 5 competitors day after day after day when the real battle is not to just place, but to finish, and this is much further behind the leaders. Those are where the public will find the real heroes of racing. PLEASE show more Malle Moto....PLEASE!??!?!?!

I wish Netflix would cover the Malle Moto, What a Documentary that would make, These guy's and Gal's deserve more Air time, Toughest category on the Planet with next to No coverage....... Good luck to them all

Yup. They decided to change the name a few years ago when motul started sponsoring that category. I believe they provide all the lubricants for the malle moto racers. I believe most people still call it by its original name "malle moto".

Entry fee used to be $120 grand 10 years ago, what is it now. These guys work all year to race.
