- Russian's Defense Ministry confirmed that its forces launched a barrage of long-range precision weapons at Ukrainian targets, which included Kiev's energy sector, as President Putin was inaugurated for a fifth term in office, after an overwhelming victory amid a record turnout in Russia's latest election.
International Relations and Security Analyst Mark Sleboda noted that by targeting Kiev's energy sector, Russia is ramping up pressure and attacking Ukraine's military industrial complex in a number of areas at a time when the West isn't providing as much aid and some of the items on Zelensky's wish list like cough cough Abrams tanks have fallen flat on the battlefield.

You should remind people that once a country is member of NATO, all their military actions are NATO's actions.
So when a USA invaded Yemen, it was NATO that invaded Yemen.

If someone has a membership to a club, a team, a coalition etc. He is representing all the time thats values and rules by own actions.
So when any of the 32 NATO members do something outside their borders, it is always NATO that is doing it, without any direct official announcements or authorization.
If a motorbike club member kill someone, he is representing that club with the vest.

If a president insults someone, he is representing whole country in his speech.

Very interesting stuff! It seems to me that the position of the "main battle tank" in the Ukraine war resembles that of the battleship in WWII. The drone has humbled the tank the way that the dive-bomber humbled the great battlewagons.
I always hear about events that even the great people I listen to don’t know about from Mark. Being in Russia probably gives him access to some information that most foreigners don’t have access to.

It isn't a full-on war. If the plan at the beginning was to conquer territory, everything would've been destroyed within days.
Russia left the power infrastructure intact for humanitarian reasons.
Because Russia did not want to target dual use infrastructure,but Ukraine started attacks on civilians in Russia and forced russian retaliation.

In some places, there’s also hydroelectricity. Oddly enough, in Nova Scotia, they shut down our early dams & generators to centralize & use coal & oil.
In many parts of Europe there are still diesel locomotives in use and in storing for heavy duty and in case of war and of cource that Ukraine also got them from us where VIP loads will run as usual if there is an rail.

I'm disappointed in Mark on his comments about Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy sector. It is obvious if you look at the series of events that Russia's attacks only started after Ukraine started targeting Russia's oil facilities. Every time Russia oil facilities get attacked, immediately after Ukraine loses a power plant or two. It's all about retaliation for Ukrainian attacks inside Russia and not part of some greater grand plan as he infers.
