“You don’t get it boy. This isn’t a mud hole. It’s an operating table, and I’m the surgeon.” One of the hardest lines I’ve ever heard and made me love the animated dark knight returns. Great video!
This is amazing. I can’t say that you are going to blow up, but I can say that this is incredibly well made, well edited, and I really appreciate your content. I hope you don’t stop, because I’ll make sure to watch your upcoming videos. You should know that I and the few others that watch your videos think there great. I’m glad to have found this channel.
Thanks, that really means a lot to me as a smaller content creator. Someday the algorithm will be much kinder, but until then, I don't plan to stop trying at the very least!
@@ViviVariety I hope so, you definitely deserve it. The fact that you make these long analysis types of videos and do not have a large audience is seriously respectable. I have nothing but respect to you. Keep it up.
Oh, wow! Like, seriously? What???? That's just, like, soooo crazy!!! I mean, who would have ever thought? I, for one, had absolutely no clue about this mind-blowing revelation!!! You're telling me that animated DC movies are, like, oh my gosh, actually better than those super spectacular live action movies?!!?!!! What??? OMG!!! I am just sooo shocked, surprised, and completely and utterly bamboozled. I can't even begin to comprehend the sheer absurdity of it all! Like, wow, my mind is totally blown! But, for real, I love that people recognise the clear brilliance in the animated adaptations of DC comics.
Well I think that both have a lot that could have been improved like for the Dark knight rises I remember theses early rumours that being it would be based on Batman: Prey where Hugo Strange is the main villain or the other being that Johnny Depp as the Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as the Penguin and for BVS they could have used that no legged man as that version of Metallo instead of Doomsday and recast Lex and the Flash as they don’t feel right and don’t really fit in. But at least that Rises, Bruce gets the happy ending that he so deserves and maybe have kids with Selina. How about do a video on Old Man Logan Adaptations because I think that Deadpool and Wolverine has references to it when it comes out. Which movie were Hero vs Hero works like BVS, Captain America:Civil War and L.A. Confidential?
Dude I'd have loved for Hugo Strange to be the final villain of the trilogy. My young teenage brain was also pulling for Hush, but looking back that seems ambitious lol. I also agree that Metallo sounds like an awesome pick for a BvS villain. I admit I'm not super knowledgeable with Marvel, and the X-Men in particular are a pretty big blind spot, but still, sounds like a good topic. As does the "Hero v Hero" trope. After I finish the next string of planned projects I think diving into different kinds of tropes and interpretations of tropes would be a cool side project!
@@ViviVarietyso you might do the Old Man Logan Adoption then after Deadpool and Wolverine comes out and probably look at the previous X-Men movies first because I have a feeling it’s going to be the No way home equivalent of it as they brought the actor who played Pyro from X2 and the Last Stand in the first trailer speaking of No way home I recommend that check Tumbler on the Misconception of Norman Osborn and most of all Logan as that was supposed to be Old Man Logan movie.
I hate to say, but I believe I’m burnt out on Batman. He’s been completely over saturated from gaming to film, but we still can’t get a decent Superman film. 🤷🏾♂️
@@ViviVariety - I think Superman suffers from being too godly of a character who the studio always feels the need to emasculate and nullify to make him more “relatable.” Think about it: remember when he loses his powers and gets his butt kicked? 😐 Follow the line from then on... 🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️
Yeaaahh it's a huge product of its time. Like a lot of TDKR is more digestible when you take the time period into account...and Miller's...let's say, dated, views lol.
I dunno about subtle, literally the first act of Rises is a direct homage to The Dark Knight Returns, not to mention the ending. That's as subtle as a brick to the face. The Bane fight I can definitely see as less of an overt reference considering the whole "lose the first fight, fight again stronger" is common just about everywhere.

I love that line as well, Peter Weller absolutely crushed the role!

really underrated video, it felt like it was made by a 1M+ subscribers channel, the fact it only got 400 views baffles me
Interesting vid. I think some people do gloss over a lot of the 70's stuff by Denny O'Neil and Neal Adams that added grit back to Batman.
This is a really good video, keep doing a good work because I just had a good time watching it.
I'm glad you liked it! I know I haven't done a superhero focused video in a long time, but I still intend to get back to some of them soon!
This was a damn good video man. Loved the editing and music choices.
i was watching a video about batman and then all of the sudden HOLY SHIT THREE HOUSES MUSIC
This video is way too good to only have this many views
Holy Musical B@tman did it too! And did a really great job!

Preach. I love Superman more than Batman, and even as I "planned" to discuss Batman films I wanted to do Man of Steel to talk about Superman.

I liked TDKR a lot more when I thought it was satire. Then I read Holly Terror and realized that Miller was just pro fascist.

@ViviVariety rises didn't really reference returns all that much but when it did, it was very subtle
