The actual reason why silk was heartbroken and turned to alcoholism was her secret affair with superstar Rajnikanth, they had a torrid affair and he couldn’t do justice to her by giving her a life or even acknowledging their affair, only after silk died Rajnikanth started repenting and felt lot of guilt and started to go into spirituality. Also the insults from the industry and the sex symbol image made her impossible to live a decent life which she dreamt off, but she is said to be the most innocent girl like disco Shanthi. These girls didn’t know anything outside their world of cinema and hence exploited. Hope she is reborn with good fortune and live her dream life.
