    I must have missed the sales on these, I just bought one for $1300. But to be honest, I feel that it is still worth that price to get a top-notch Japanese-made instrument. These feel even better than most American made Strats I've played.

    The maple fretboard was a tad brighter and louder. Just a tad. I was listening through earphones.
    I visited Japan for the first time ever a few months ago. Picked up an earlier version Aerodyne Strat from around 2010 in HSS config.
    The shop owner told me that it was a limited number Japan only release with DiMarzio pickups.
    Love the sleek Aerodyne body with well voiced and balanced pickups.

      Japan is an amazing country…love the food, the people…and their music ships are INSANE!! I always wanted one of the Aerodyne Thinline Jaguars they briefly made…but they are getting hard to find!! Thanks Frank

      I agree with your opinion of Japan. 😁
      My three adult children were with me, 2 had been before.
      My eldest son took us down "GUITAR STREET". Shop after shop, all day down one main street.
      Also visited the recently opened Fender Flagship Tokyo store in Shibuya City.
      A multistory presentation of all things Fender with customer instrument playing encouraged.
      Looking forward to your deep dive into the rest of the Aerodyne series. ☺

      The fretboard doesn't have anything to do. It's the fact that the bridge pickups are very different, one being a single coil and the other a humbucker.

    Really nice guitars. Both looking good. I would try out to get a lower tuning, maybe standard c, with this tremolo system. The pickup and the humbucker in the bridge sounding really good. If I could I would take both guitars... 😉

    Wondering how the guitar finish holds up without having a pickguard?

      Not too bad, I often play in full neck position so I think I have consciously developed right hand technique to avoid the blade pick switcher since it's always pointed at neck for me. Maybe because of this, not sure, but my body paint still looks great with minimal scratches after a year

      That’s exactly what I like about it…it’s different to a normal Strat…there are enough normal Strats to pick from

    These guitars are a sign of the times. Fender is losing sales if for no other reason than less people have the money during these hard times. They are meant to appeal to a eclectic niche market to get players that might never even buy a Fender.
    Guys like me who if no other reason do not want to another mindless sheep in the heard, LOL.
    ____The guitars sound the same. The only difference is that which comes from the dynamics in the playing by 2 different players.

    • @TSFAHTPS
      @TSFAHTPS  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks Paul…yeah I always found that the difference in sound between maple and rosewood is barely audible …if there is any difference at all! I prefer rosewood purely for the aesthetics…and I do find that necks with rosewood boards are generally a little bigger…which I prefer too!!

    Lovely guitars - rather spoiled by being played out of tune.

    "JESUS will return" on your amp...dude, that just killed any respect I have for your opinion :\ The Jesus MYTH, it's a fairy tale, dude's not returning because he likely never existed, and if he did, he was one of thousands, it was basically the con of the era. So disappointed that actual adults still believe this BS 😢 please, stop letting grifting religious con-men take your money, and live your best life!

    • @TSFAHTPS
      @TSFAHTPS  6 месяцев назад +1

      Relax…we are NOT religious…it’s an old Australian made amp Alex bought off some guy and it had that sticker on it. And he found it funny and left the sticker on there!

      I feel sorry for those that have no hope for mankind and who don’t believe in a Creator who made humans to enjoy a Paradise Earth. Don’t judge those who have faith.
