From a Carolinian to another, your Chanel is is a world of knowledge and I, enjoy all your videos.Your're a true patriot.Thank you. And long live the republic. III% ...
I accidentally bought (true!) 500 rounds of 9mm HP that just came altogether in a box. Having my Case Gard Crates and regular ammo cases helped me divide them into groups of 50 and store them neatly. They're a great idea, thanks Sootch00!!!
I just about passed out when you said the price. I thought for sure they were gonna start at $30. What an awesome product and MADE IN THE USA. Just ordered $150 worth. Thanks for this video Don, can't wait to put mine to use. As always, God Bless brother!!!
Thanks for watching Dan! I've shied away from Plastic myself and used the Military Surplus cans for years, but there are strong and very versatile. I think you'll be pleased.
I normally watch most gear review videos with a "oh that's kinda neat but not for me" perspective. It is good to know what's out there after all. However, once in while you come across a gear review that fits the way you do things. This is one of those videos. I am loving the well thought out usefulness of these cases. I am thinking about more than ammo; things like camping gear, tools, and even first aid kits should also work well. I have been looking for an all-weather, modular, storage system for a long time now and I think I just found it. Thanks for the video.
Like you said, they really put a lot of thought into the design. Every groove and cutout is made so that the boxes can be stacked and 'locked' onto each other in almost any configuration.
I'm from Dayton Ohio my woman used to work at mtm she said there a great family owned company good people and the owners and management actually care about there employees just figured I'd share that love buying from a good us company
I love this case. I recently purchased two of the larger size ones and they are really nice. It holds up to 85lbs. Looks neat and keeps what you dont want in there out. i just use mine for supplies in my suv and nothing inside gets moist from being in my trunk during hot and cold weather, rain storms and high humidity never an issue.
I just recently purchased 12 of the 7.25" deep MTM ammo crates to help store ammo due to the impending ammo purchaser registration & background check Law that passed in CA. Great for storing and stacking.
These look great and the price is right. That 4 can tray is a fantastic idea and I'll be getting a couple of those! Great review, keep up the good work!
I have a dozen MTM Ammo Cans and love them. Bought them about 5 years ago. They are lighter than the metal ammo cans and can hold a lot more. Highly recommend them.
These are some Great Boxes and their "TRB-40" Gun Maintenance Box is Great to for a AR & other rifles also. I've also used their Plastic Ammo Boxes for 30+ years for reloading and storage of the rounds. These are some Great Items and from the USA.
I have a number of these in vehicles for gear, in the basement for ammo, cleaning kits, etc. You even transport firearms in these pretty easily with some creativity!
Pro tip. I put dry erase board tape on the under side of my ammo can lids to label what loose ammo I have in them. Keeps load data conveniently rather throwing a loose card into the can.
I knew it. I had a feeling the big box was a cheap plastic and it is, that's unfortunate. That top will bust with a little pressure making a lock useless. They definitely look cool but I can't get behind that. The little ammo boxes on the other hand, they might be useful! Thanks for the video.
Question - Obviously you can put more bullets in a case out of the box. But you also increase the weight and can lose track of how many are in the container. Since I noticed you actually showed it both ways, do you have a preference and what are the overall advantages?
When stationed near Pearl Harbor in the 1980's I found WW2 era .30 belted machine gun (blanks) ammo can ...ammo still intact, and steel connectors still not rusted. one small hole rusted in the can. It was in the valley behind Tripler Hospital near the C47 fuselage in the jungle......I ONLY use mil surp....I like the aluminum med evac containers. there are some small ones that you don't see advertised. R
Great review on a great product. I've been using these crates for years. Very high quality with a great guarantee. They make a TON of different shapes & sizes to hold a wide array of things. Highly recommend checking them out online or through catalog.
love their products. i don't think i've ever seen something they make that wasn't of good quality. and i REALLY like the 4-can ammo crate. i may have to pick up a couple.....or a few, lol.
Sootch, I always wondered if you reloaded, now I know. I have well over 100 MTM items: Ammo Cans, Ammo Boxes, and a couple of crates (need more crates). One crate is stuffed with spare AR parts, the other is full of Lithium batteries and chargers.
Hello sir. I am trying to find a storage solution for my Police detail gear in my personal truck. Any suggestions. These crates if they were larger would be great. Need to fit winter coats and rains coats and other gear used for the job. I know you’ve reviewed some solutions in the past but have had trouble finding the videos. What do you recommend? A couple options would be great.
Hey Sootch00, just got my order for two of these from Amazon, I also called MTM direct to see if they will sell just the crate alone, as I already have a few MTM 30 cal. ammo cans that need to be stacked. The going price for a single crate as of 4/24/18 is only $ 8.99 and they're in stock. All the best, Paul, FLA.
Love the MTM ammo cans. Use the crates for shotgun shells and have one for rifle ammo too. I'll have to check out the crate with the four ammo cans, looks like a great option
would you recommend that ammo crate for long term ammo storage? i hate having all my ammo in their original boxes in several different containers all over. it seems much easier to just dump em all into their own caliber box.
I want to get the 5 can set with the crate that holds them in because the smaller ones are easier to move around with heavy weight and i would be able to run a cable lock from side to side and padlock it down so nobody can snatch it up unless they take the entire thing which would be back breaking plus it is made right here in the good ole US of A
Great video and review. I'm liking these ammo boxes. I'm going to run some of these down and utilize them for some kits. I'm thinking Bug out, food storage and Med kits. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Jack, Ammo tins have been my staple storage for years and I'll continue to use them but these are great for a lot of situations. They do make a great survival kit container.
Sootch what are your thoughts on MTM vs steel cans for long term storage of ammo? Do a big video on long term ammo storage with huge surge of ammo sales. Thanks.
Sorry sensibleprepper for checking in so late after the post it's just been a crazy day it made my day when I saw you posted a vid today keep up the great work.Thank You.
No longer on the fence just purchased a #8,to store my load out. Thanks for the vid and keep them coming. PS this is the 3rd item I have bought off of one of your reviews this relationship has to stop my girl is not happy with my spending lol.
Sootch, Definitely interested. One question regarding the "ammo crate" wording on the side. Is that a sticker? If so, I'd remove it and be good to go. Thanks for sharing the product.
Id consider that while you have some boxes designated for certain things such as one box for ammo, one box for medical stuff, one box for firestarting so on and so forth, same with your ammo tin video, maybe also have just a few quick grab cans that have a combination of all tye essentials you may need in case you have to leave in a pinch and loading every can/crate up into a vehicle isnt feasable or even using your vehicle may wind up out of the question. Like maybe make 3-4 cans that hold the majority of all Youd need to cover basic survival situations food, water, aid, fire, shelter and defense/hunting. Like have some cans labeled like “emergency bug out” I say 3-4 maybe 5-6 because i imagine you have a family with you that may also help so everyone can grab a few cans be out quickly. I think of it as a back up for the first back up that failed or isnt possible.
5:38 - How can sky be the limit, if there are footsteps on the moon? :) Great video, greetings from Germany, I'm so sad I can't really have some guns over here haha
brother.. great review any suppliers in the militia needs to have this it is a great setup and very fast for reloading magazines we have ours marked with each caliber on top of it and the price isn't bad
SensiblePrepper Don my brother... I know you are a very busy guy and I know you have a lot on your plate but I do have a favor as a brother in arms.. you and I both know that one day crap will go down I think it could be a good idea if you made a video about Fallout shelters and how to stock them and what to stock up because Patriots do need them and the American people I think you would get a ton of views on this matter because you are huge on RUclips anyhow thanks again buddy
Hey Don...I live in Northern Wisconsin & I have had many plastic or polymer tackle boxes just like those snap and break under extremely cold conditions. I went back to hauling my ammo in US military ammo cans because of that problem. I would like to see you freeze those cans up for a week in a freezer then drop them on some concrete! I bet they wouldn't hold up to that. I could be wrong but I have seen car and truck door handles come off in your hand up here in -50 below zero weather!! Just sayin... Great video as usual though!!!
Nice boxes. By the way, have you seen RUclips user Synchronizor's channel? He does something similar, in one of his older videos, with his ammo, in different boxes though (surplus military ammo cans if I remember correctly). But he also keeps the flattened cardboard boxes the ammo comes in when you purchase it, with the ammo and magazines in his boxes for easy reference on the range etc. I'm a bit worried that you just store the loose ammo like that without the boxes it came in. Not that the ammo will go off (bullets are rather difficult to get to accidentally go off), but that you might forget some of the important stuff about the ammo and use in firearms (pressure ratings etc.) when having fun on the range, or if you are teaching new people how to safely and responsibly use a firearm. Safety first, always.

I have two of these ammo crate boxes and they are great for storing gear. I filled these boxes with ammo and they became so heavy they strained my back. I say keep your ammo in the 30 and 50 cal. ammo cans. they are manageable, were as this box is way to heavy filled with ammo. Just my opinion, you decide yourself.
these cases look super cool sootch im definitely gonna check these out
They have so many uses. Sturdy and rugged. Thanks brother!
sootch00 hi how much 22lr will it hold
Gary Paytonvlogs it will hold about 8000 rounds, but is incredibly heavy.
LoneWanderer360 thanks

I typically don't care for plastic ammo storage boxes but these look like something that I need to check out.
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching Dan! I've shied away from Plastic myself and used the Military Surplus cans for years, but there are strong and very versatile. I think you'll be pleased.
SensiblePrepper trhanks for the reply! I will check them out!
i've been looking for something like this for stacking prepping gear on shelves or in the back of the vehicle. they look great. thanks for the video.
Thanks for stopping by!

I really like the MTM 50 cal ammo cans so I ordered one of the size 8 boxes because amazon was having a special on them. I'm glad I did now.
I got my first 4 can crate in the mail yesterday. It's nice and practical. Ordered off Amazon for 30$. Will be ordering more very soon.
Man, I’m tell you - Solid, SOLID video review on these crates! Thanks for taking the time to do it, brother! 💪🇺🇸
Grabbed up several of these after I saw your vehicle kit video and I love them. Highly recommend them.
These look great and the price is right. That 4 can tray is a fantastic idea and I'll be getting a couple of those!
Great review, keep up the good work!
Thanks Brother!
I have a dozen MTM Ammo Cans and love them. Bought them about 5 years ago. They are lighter than the metal ammo cans and can hold a lot more. Highly recommend them.
I bought one of the four box crates after I watched this vid the other day. They kick ass.
see this is why I subscribe to sootch00.his content is awesome
Thanks Charles! It's greatly appreciated.
I like the 4 can ammo crate. You could probably make a shelf for them by resting the side flanges on something.
Great products across the board. I especially like their ammo wallets, for carrying a few extra rounds.
My favorite is the 45acp seven, one hundred round case set. I have about five different sets. All extremely utilitarian. Shoot lots and stay safe.
Thanks for stopping by brother
You are most welcome young man.
Mtm has a great line of products, that work.
I have a couple of these, outstanding . They stay in my jeep 24/7
Arthur Shoemaker fr what
Pro tip. I put dry erase board tape on the under side of my ammo can lids to label what loose ammo I have in them. Keeps load data conveniently rather throwing a loose card into the can.
Thanks for the comment Justen!
Thanks for the video! These are great for making geocaches to hide on the trail, as well as all the other uses you profiled.
I seen them on EBay came here to research them & now I’m going to buy two thanks for the professional advice
I knew it. I had a feeling the big box was a cheap plastic and it is, that's unfortunate. That top will bust with a little pressure making a lock useless. They definitely look cool but I can't get behind that. The little ammo boxes on the other hand, they might be useful! Thanks for the video.
I was shocked at how reasonable the prices were!!! Thanks man
Got myself an order of the 4 crates. Great review!

I love MTM Products! Best part MADE IN THE USA!
Man Sootch00, I'm gonna need another job, to keep up with buying all these great products. We loved those boxes and your review on them. Thank you.
I have been on the fence about those crates, but I may just go ahead and get one. I like the sizes they would go well with my dolly load system.
love their products. i don't think i've ever seen something they make that wasn't of good quality. and i REALLY like the 4-can ammo crate. i may have to pick up a couple.....or a few, lol.
It can be addicting! Thanks Sean
Just started using those cases a little bit ago, they are nice. Had not seen the 4 ammo can caddy, have to check it out. Thx for the review brother!
Thanks Brother!
Sootch, I always wondered if you reloaded, now I know. I have well over 100 MTM items: Ammo Cans, Ammo Boxes, and a couple of crates (need more crates). One crate is stuffed with spare AR parts, the other is full of Lithium batteries and chargers.
Thanks for the ideas. MTM has great products for about every gear storage situation.
Been using there reloading shell boxes for years...Nice
Great looking gear boxes! ☺️
I bought 1 last year to keep in my truck. My jumper cables and ratchet straps.
These would make great first aid kits.

been using their magazine boxes for awhile (AK, AR, and pistol), will have to pick up some of these utility crates.
would you recommend that ammo crate for long term ammo storage? i hate having all my ammo in their original boxes in several different containers all over. it seems much easier to just dump em all into their own caliber box.
I love these crates. I own several in different sizes and they come in handy!!
They are great. I also use them for my fixed blade knife collections
I want to get the 5 can set with the crate that holds them in because the smaller ones are easier to move around with heavy weight and i would be able to run a cable lock from side to side and padlock it down so nobody can snatch it up unless they take the entire thing which would be back breaking plus it is made right here in the good ole US of A
I am currently storing extra gear and tools in extra backpacks that i have but these boxes would be 1000 times better thanks for the review
Great video and review. I'm liking these ammo boxes. I'm going to run some of these down and utilize them for some kits. I'm thinking Bug out, food storage and Med kits. Thanks for sharing.

Excellent job Pal. I am on my way to the website now!
Love all your reviews but as a side note the bloopers at the end are even fun to watch.
I store as much of my 556 ammo as I can on stripper clips and in the old cloth bandoliers. Any idea how many bandoliers will fit in each ammo can?
Sootch what are your thoughts on MTM vs steel cans for long term storage of ammo? Do a big video on long term ammo storage with huge surge of ammo sales. Thanks.
As always, fantastic video. Thanks for sharing to info mate. Much appreciated, from Australia 🇦🇺
i like that 4 crate kit, i always take 4 different calibers when i go shooting so this will come in handy
Sorry sensibleprepper for checking in so late after the post it's just been a crazy day it made my day when I saw you posted a vid today keep up the great work.Thank You.
Thanks for stopping by Aleen! It's never too late : )
what about the handles...? can water get in where the handles are mounted on the smaller boxes..?
No longer on the fence just purchased a #8,to store my load out. Thanks for the vid and keep them coming. PS this is the 3rd item I have bought off of one of your reviews this relationship has to stop my girl is not happy with my spending lol.
Thanks Brother! I understand the Mrs not being happy with my spending habits : ) But it's for the great good! Lol!
Sootch, Definitely interested. One question regarding the "ammo crate" wording on the side. Is that a sticker? If so, I'd remove it and be good to go. Thanks for sharing the product.
I should pick up some to organize my vehicles. I have all the gear I need....piled in the back.
I never could find what I needed without digging through all my gear. This has been a life saver. Thanks Jesse!
Right. I have the same issue. Having what I need does not mean much if I can not get it when I need it, ha.
Jesse Sisolack again, see you everywhere on RUclips
Yes, I am everyplace.
Sootch, thank you for another great review!
Your the best!
nice boxes!! that ammo can crate could be used for storing all kind of stuff you need to keep dry and orgbanized

Ammo Crate is a GREAT product.
I use them for tackle boxes in my kayak.
Very cool, Don! Definitely, need to get some. Is PSA the only place you've seen them, here, in the upstate? Thanks for the vid!
Thanks Yad, if it wasn't for PSA, I wouldn't have found them.
I just ordered 3 MTM pistol cases from Amazon 4 hours ago , now i'm watching this video.
my wife is from Dayton Ohio I will definitely check it out
The cans that hold 15 AR mags are great (I fit 19 30 round mags in it).
00:08
Yup, that's what she said.
Sorry, couldn't resist.
LOL!!!
haha fuck lol
5:38 - How can sky be the limit, if there are footsteps on the moon? :)
Great video, greetings from Germany, I'm so sad I can't really have some guns over here haha
Move to Bavaria.
I have several MTM cases including the one that holds AK/AR mags , there good cases for the money..
love the stash.
Thanks Brother
MTM makes great stuff!
love your videos and the bloopers
Thanks Kelly
your welcome! keep up the awesome videos!
brother.. great review any suppliers in the militia needs to have this it is a great setup and very fast for reloading magazines we have ours marked with each caliber on top of it and the price isn't bad
Thanks Doc! It's definitely transformed by set up.
SensiblePrepper Don my brother... I have those case gard 2 #4 and a 5 & 8 I use the hook part of velcro and it locks down tight in the back of my S U V
Perfect as a camping crate to keep everything organized, and doubling for survival gear.
Is it food safe though?
I live just south of Dayton. Might have to get me some of these.
Thanks for the comment. I'll have to check his channel out. Great idea to keep that info.
You are welcome. Just a quick heads up, Synchronizor's channel is mostly about shotguns.
Thanks for reviewing these, I've been thinking about buying some for awhile.
Glad to help. Thanks for stopping by brother
Looks like I have a good excuse to go down to PSA and check these crates out! If it wasn't for Woodruff Road traffic, PSA would probably be getting a decent percentage of my paychecks, lol.
These are some nice looking cases and at a great price. Love the channel!
Thanks for stopping by
I like these! Thx for the review Sootch00!!!!!!
Thanks Gregory! Always a pleasure
great looking product here and it would appear that a sensible suggestion proved to be sensible for the sensible prepper lol 😉
Lol! Thanks Scotty.
Fantastic cases!! Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
I have the same 30 yr old ammo box in green for my 45 Colt reloading.
Don't get me wrong, I'd use these for reloading, but the potential for Lego storage would be awesome!
Now that's an idea for my son! Lol! Thanks
1200 rounds of what fits in that #5?
Those look like they would be really useful! Thanks!
Can you not order directly from their website?
Pistol at 7:45?? Looks like a CZ, unsure of model.
