  • I've been dreaming about the Tool Grid system ever since I saw it at SEMA. I was going to just order the entire line and figure it out myself, but Will and Chris offered to come down and help me walk through all the products that I'll be using to redo the drawers in my wash bay. This will be available in the OG store very soon!

I wasn't sure about Wally at first but after a while you really get the impression he is a really nice guy who is all about his product.

What took so long? The guy is obviously a sweetheart. Cute as a bug, humble, helpful, and knows his shit. He's *not* pounding the desk yellin' "I've been doin' this thirty yeaaaars!" -- he's just gettin' it done.

Matt, one of my favourite things about watching the channel and the business grow over the last 4 years or so is the access you are provided and then share with us. Whether its at P&S or Rupes, or having the owners of the companies come to you. There's nothing better then learning from the source whenever possible. Just wanted to say thank you.

I Just finished cutting my foam inserts last week for a tool box I purchased on Black Friday. Now it seems it looks like I’ll be switching to this setup. The foam is very satisfying visually but this setup looks great and increases usage of square inches. Thanks Matt.

I've seen this stuff before (or something very similar) in Matco catalogs. It looks wonderful for organizing things in a tool box, or hell I'd love some sheets for a couple of the drawers in my office desk.
The problem is that it's amazing if you have 100 of every accessory laying around so you can think about how you are going to organize your tools, move things around, redo it a few times, etc. It's terrible to try to buy mail order because as you see in the videos no matter what your initial plan is for organizing it's going to be wrong and you're going to want to jigger things around.
It's something you really want to over-buy, do your tool box/drawers, then send back the unused bags of fittings (maybe keeping some in case you want to jigger things even more after that).

Yep, I'm going to institute a pre-paid return package for excess buying. I'll also have recommended purchases to minimize order errors.

I would love to see your wrench drawer with the labels attached to the wrenches.
It looks like you really need semi deep drawers to get the full benefit of the product.
Basically shallow drawers wouldn't work as well when you have to see the different size
tools. Would love to try it but it looks like it is very expensive, maybe in the future.
The overbuy back program is a terrific idea.

Oh man I need this so bad. Not enough room in my garage to add more drawers. Getting bigger density in the drawers I have would be the answer.

Ow man, im enjoying this. I dont know if this is a good thing for us :P. I mean i can see myself spending weeks doing this, and then i got a drawer full finally and im thinking, hmm i dont like this i can do it better or no i want them different and start over again. Also like you said, i need all the same looking tools. So i end up taking it all out again and buy matching cutters or drill bits or whatever.
Fun it is, but it could drive me nuts aswell

Definitely going to get some of these for my tools and possibly for cleaning up some workstations at work. The foam is excellent for a few months until you get a new tool.

    Hey Matt,
So me and my dad are going to build an electric pressure washer. We have a rare opportunity where we could get this thing to 4000 psi and 4 gpm. I was wondering what the best psi is for a pressure washer is and what you use? Thanks

For the drill bits, i would like a box with all sizes of metal drilling bits, same for stone and wood. I dont like a few random ones in a bucket :P

Snap-on is okay. I just don't like the sales model. I'm all for paying for premium stuff, but double margin/mark-up is not indicative of the quality.

I’m disappointed Matt. As a woodworker/home mechanic, I would mount each twist drill individually or buy a new set and mount vertically in their own container. The noise of the twist, masonry and specialist drills when opening the drawer really annoys me. FYI a drill ‘bit’ is used in a brace. This is a manually operating drilling tool. Hence the name brace and bit.

So far I think the only useful organizer he has is for the sockets. Because you can essentially make your rack as long as you want. Where as typical racks are limited.. I'm not a fan of bracketing every concrete bit individually or locking in a tiny tape measure. This is like setting up a tool box to not use.
