    How to Add Multiple Websites & Funnels to One Domain Using a Single DNS Record
    Hate using GoDaddy DNS Manager? Tired of having to create new DNS records for each website you want to use for one domain? Want to get more from one domain for all your sales funnels (instead of buying a new domain for each website)? Use a wildcard in a single A record in your DNS manager (e.g. with GoDaddy, Google Domains, Namecheap, IONOS, Cloudflare, etc.).
    Just use an asterisk with the A record and point the A record to your website host's IP address.

    Hey Christopher! Thank you so much for the info! Do you have a video describing the Zap that you refer to at the end of the video?

      Check out "HL Pro Tools." The developer of High Level's Zapier integration doesn't have it set up for automating this. (Unless if they have updated their Zapier integration, but I have not checked in months).
      However, the people at HL Pro Tools hired a developer to hook into High Level via API integration to set up exactly what is needed.
      HL Pro Tools requires a subscription for ongoing use of their Zapier integration into High Level.
      www.hlprotools.com/
      There is probably some other vendor in the HL community that has hired a developer to build out their own Zapier integration, especially with SaaS mode as an option for HL users.

    what about one domain multiple servers in any geographic location so if client send request to server it automatically forwards to nearest location so it minimizes latency
    my plan is to use vitualization or containerization like docker or kubernetes to spam multiple servers

    kind of new to all of this But how does a person use a domain with the blog and landing pages as well and do I attach the domain to the blog and then on the landing pages use the URL paths to promote each product

      Each website hosting platform (e.g. Wix, Shopify, Clickfunnels, GoHighLevel, Squarespace, etc) would need to be on a separate subdomain from the domain. For example, if you wanted a funnel and a main website, you could put your website (e.g. a Wordpress site or Webflow) on the domain and then use the funnel (e.g. via Clickfunnels) on a subdomain, and then if you needed to, another funnel hosted on another platform (e.g. GoHighLevel) on yet another subdomain. Can't host on multiple hosting platforms on the same domain or the same subdomain (e.g. you couldnt put a Shopify store AND a Wordpress site on the same domain or same subdomain). Hope that makes sense!

    Awesome! How do you do this with google domains and GHL? Do you have a video showing it?

    • @mobilefunnels
      @mobilefunnels  Год назад +2

      @tmbroofingconstruction you should be able to do essentially the same thing: set up an A record with the value being the asterisk symbol, and have the A record point to the IP address of GHL.

    Great info!
    I have a Clickfunnels account but I can't locate the IP address. All the tutorials I see only explain how to use additional CNAME records for each funnel. Where is the IP address in ClickFunnels?

    • @mobilefunnels
      @mobilefunnels  Год назад

      You'll need to ask Clickfunnels for this; unfortunately I don't have the IP address on hand. You may need to explain why you are asking for the IP address. I would lead with NOT asking (sometimes giving too much info hinders your inquiry). They'll ask why and explain you are attempting to use an A record in your DNS in order to set up a wildcard DNS record pointing to Clickfunnels. They'll still probably ask why you are doing it this way. Just be persistent and try to get to a tech rep that has a better understanding or is willing to give an answer that isn't a copy/paste response out of their playbook of standard responses to give to clients.
      Alternatively, you should be able to use a CNAME record with a wildcard and have that point to your site in CF (using whatever value they give you for a CNAME).

    Does this mean I can have one domain and use 2 different funnels with 2 different funnel providers. I plan to switch to one, but want to use both temporarily.

    After doing this I type the new domain into search and get an error message saying that the connection is not secure

      I would try reaching out to the support team of the web hosting platform that you are using. Send them a Loom video showing exactly what you are trying to do, so that they can see clearly without having to guess. Hope you get it resolved!

    So every time you create a new funnel on the same domain, you have to create a subdomain ? I thought the funnels create a subdomain using your domain name automatically ???

    • @mobilefunnels
      @mobilefunnels  2 года назад +3

      When using your own domain (or a client's domain), you will need a different subdomain for new sites/funnels. Can't have two or more sites on the same domain, can't have two or more on the same subdomain.
      Automatic creation of new subdomains can be done by the site host (e.g. phonesites, click funnels, Shopify, etc.), but on their domain, not yours. They use scripting to automatically create new subdomains for you off of their domain.
      But if you follow this video, all you have to do is: 1) create a single wildcard record in your DNS settings, 2) add a unique "subdomain.domain.com" combination in your website host's custom domain settings.
      The wildcard record in step 1 saves you from having to create additional A records on your DNS settings each time you create a new site.

    Can I Create Multiple Websites with One Domain Name?
    Without subdomain

    • @mobilefunnels
      @mobilefunnels  Год назад

      It depends on what you mean here. In the strictest sense, only one "true" website on a domain because you should only point a domain to a single web host (web host being something such as Siteground, Bluehost, etc. where your web pages are hosted).
      With that being said, you could point the domain to a single web host and then use subpages (subpages are everything that shows up after the .com or .co.uk or .net in a domain; e.g. domain.com/subpage where "subpage" is the subpage).
      Then, you could have 1 or as many pages you use for a given website, and then use some other page as a separate "website" that you share elsewhere.
      E.g.
      domain.com
      domain.com/about
      domain.com/contact
      domain.com/locations/new-york-city
      Then "separate website used for offers, for example:
      domain.com/get-offer
      I do not recommend the above; this is a sloppy way of trying to achieve the goal of having multiple websites. Technically, the "domain.com/get-offer" is really just part of the same website as every other subpage of domain.com, but just used separately.
      The best approach is to either buy separate domains, one for each website, or to set up additional sites on subdomains in addition to one site on the domain itself.
