That connector (or all these connectors look similar) reminds me of a JAE MX23A. Zero Motorcycles had such a thing for communications with the charging module circa 2016-2018.
My response is less dismissive than your comment. You basically ask why not do something else than what i’ve done here? And I answered, your choice do as you wish.
Your solution will work, but I would just depin it and use a 13 pin car radio connector. that way you have a standard 13 pin connector that is common and less prone to fail.
Hi Jehugarcia Thanks for all information that you give ! do you think it's possible for you to mak a DIY wall with 48volt 5Amps makita a 20kw batteries powerwall that itch batterie can be plug and un plug on a wall ?
@jehugarcia I HIGHLY ADVISE NOT TO USE THOSE DUPONT WIRES!!! THEY ARE TOO THIN TO BALANCE WITH!!! Cut one and look inside... there is literally 3 strands of the thinnest wire ever! So thin in fact that probably about a 1/3 of all the ones I've used in the past just stop working because the wire inside just breaks! There fine to just sense the voltage but other then that, no way... On top of that what about the voltage drop across that super thin conductor? Inaccurate voltage reading = over/under charged cells!!! I totally love everything you do for the community! this is not in anyway a stab at you, etc.... Just a word of caution. Shooting you a email now.
If you don't want to build one, buy one here (limited quantities available) jag35.com/products/custom-13-pin-connectors-for-b-max-12s-nmc-battery?_pos=1&_sid=91362350d&_ss=r
I think you'd be able to track down the actual connector, but it takes some digging. OEMs buy these things in bulk from companies that specialize in them. There are Facebook groups and a couple of companies who can help with this for regular (gas) motorsports applications, but EV might be harder to track down. Would be a good start to know what car company built the car, then you can learn about what connectors they source for their gas cars and go from there.
Your doing the lord’s work ❤️. Thank you for saving all these batteries from going in the dump.
Love the ingenuity!! Now I’m thinking about all of the connectors that I could possibly make

looks like resin printing could make some plugs that fit in there also
@jehugarcia Are you selling the BMS for these? If not, can you recommend one? Great work securing these.
Man you are So Good! Thanks
very good as always!!!!!!
Is the PCB available for purchase for the Audi 13s 48v modules? Another great video! Thank you🙂
Yes follow the link in the description. Add it to cart and Check out.
Why not use a deustch connector and depin/reterminate?
No reason, do it, show us how to do it.
@@jehugarcia sounds a bit defensive lol

can you extract stored energy in the battery from an electric vehicle in case of emergency?
yes , Easiest way is to do it via the 12v system, if you draw energy from the onboard 12v battery the high voltage pack will keep charging it.

is the (audi?) 13s PCB you showed available? That is much more tidy than making my own harness
Yes on the link
Thanks! took me a minute to realize you meant your profile on PCBWay with all your projects@@jehugarcia
Nice one! I would 3D print it 😊
You can buy also the needed compatible BMS online. Hybrid inverters are supported too.
Any chances of making one for the 24v Sonys you had?
I’m working on a 3D print that fits the pcb
That looks like a canbus connector used in cars.

General question: can you send packs to australia by sea mail?
Not much available out here.
No export available, too expensive and too much hassle

I agree. Not only are they thin, it's usually iron or CCA wire. Cheap junk.
How about your battery meter, can we build one or buy one…

Can I put these battery in series and make a 240v ?
Yes that’s how they are intended to be used, in strings of 350vdc

What are these batteries used for.
EV's.

@@jehugarcia Thanks! I'll poke around and see if I can find anything. It's definitely easier with gas cars...
