Isn't 1300 6s bit too big for 3.6" props? Maybe that's one more reason for the propwash. I would go with 1000mah 6s or even lower 850/750mAh. Looks cool but I agree that the side panels are unnecessary.
GEPRC recommends between 1100 and 1300 on their website. Since I was flying without an action camera I decide to go with the higher limit to test. But yes a lighter battery may help with the tuning.
If you explore the 3.5" props available, the gemfans are the best freestyle. They happen to make a 3.6" of the same foil, and you can feel the difference if you have been flying for a while. Once I tried them I didn't go back.
Yes it is. And I’m sure many owners will end up like that. It’s just a shame companies are paying attention to the wrong details, and adding parts that don’t really do much more than increase the price. I wish they go back to design drones like the mark5.
Actually yes. After a few days I went back to check the area and the drone was in a dried pond of water. It seems like everything but the ESC survived.
The IFlight F4 is a much better concept. Both are same heavy, but iflight has 4 inch props. In my opinion both are actually too heavy for a 3.6 or 4 inch. The actual Idea is to have the same weight to thrust ratio as a 5 inch with the gemfan 3630. The disc area is exactly half. Thats why 3.6 inch. I've built and tested so many drones and prop combos. If you like I'll give you my favorite build details of a 4 inch, that really really feels like a 5 inch and is much lighter but still exactly same thrust to weight ratio as a 5 inch. 4 inch is so cool but the motor and props are unfortunatly a market niche. Also an ideal 4 inch is 360g all up with lipo. With a 3.5 inch setup you can still hit 250g.
Thanks for the info. Very interesting. I’ve grown to dislike iflight drones. The electronic are so weak they break just from looking at them, and things are so cramped in the space that I think they make our lives more complicated that they should. It’s like if they are trying too hard to be like DJI. I liked them when they had the cidora or the original Nazgûl, but not lately. For free style drones, if you are in 4”, why not get a 5” instead of trying to build a 4” that is like a 5”…
@@NordFPV I can see your point here about trying to be similar to DJI. I recently got the Defender 16, 20, and 25. They fly just fine, my gripe is with the batteries. No easy way to just check the voltage with my cell checker. the defender 25 is slightly easier, but only the main leads are exposed to easily plug into a checker. Not to mention the mounting situation. The evoque series are a pain in the ass to work on with those side plates. The Chimera 7 and holly shit the helion. Like welding the hood of a car shut and just hoping it never breaks down.
@@danskinn Exactly my point. Design wise I think the defender series is the worst. With all those custom batteries (even though you can use regular batteries if I'm correct), but as you mention, all the most recent line for iFlight are trying too hard to become a DJI, with features that affect the end user just to make the drone "look good", no other benefit. I'm pretty sure the evoque tried so hard to cramp things in a smaller space that they went with a smaller ESC which breaks so easily. That's not good design...
@danskinn It's better than the emax baby hawk 2 HD. I got the emax and love it. The 4 inch just has more power. Build specs Amax F4mini frame Amax 2205 2200kv motors Speedybee mini stack Best performance is with an ovonic or dogcom 850mah 6S lipo with xt30. Most important is the prop. There is only one good one, the HQ 4x3x3V2. Dry weight digital vtx is 220g plus 140g lipo. 360g AUW. @Nordfpv yeah, why not a 6" instead of a 5" ? Same question... I just say fly like a 5 inch, because it's the most thought out proven concept. Still the 4 inch is smaller, lighter, less noisy, less dangerous and better to transport. Not sub250, but also performs much better. You don't have to give up or compromise on anything. If you want leave me a contact to meil you where to get.
Nohate to the FPV Comunity, Great Video. Im flying fpv my self since 2 Month and got 5 quads till now. Im just in shock to see how many are making good videos but their flying skills are just trash. You all should definetly go more into the simulator or just train more cause that flying really is not good💯. But how i sad before the video as it self is good for the most part
Nah.. skills are something relative. I’m happy with what I can do. I fly either to have fun or to test drones and decide if I should Offer it in my shop or not and for that end I think I’m doing well enough. Maybe with time I’ll get better, but thanks anyway for your concern and thanks for watching!

But there are not that many 3.6" props out there, right?
Great video on the Domain. Is it possible to fly without the side panels?
Yes it is. And I’m sure many owners will end up like that. It’s just a shame companies are paying attention to the wrong details, and adding parts that don’t really do much more than increase the price. I wish they go back to design drones like the mark5.
@NordFPV If you made the build with the moonlight kit instead it seems the side panels could have to come off?
@@sully8320 I think a moonlight will fit here even with the panels. For sure without the panels.
Can a beginner like me start RUclips videos flying on this ? If I install my vista ? Elrs ?
Of course!
I need one
Really nice review , Keeping move to show us more 💯
Thanks, will do!
Did you find your drone?
Actually yes. After a few days I went back to check the area and the drone was in a dried pond of water. It seems like everything but the ESC survived.

Please do drop the details of your 4" build. If it is anything like an emax babyhawk O3 3.5", then I would be very happy!
