  • Despite supposedly landing a deal on Shark Tank, the environmentally conscious company Stasher has largely carved their own way in the commercial world. Despite some hiccups during their pitch, the company seems to be going as strong as ever these days.

    Would you have backed Stasher?

No, plenty of storage options already.
And wooden bowls or glass or waxpaper make a whole lot more sense as an eco-option than silicon.

Ziploc is going to continue the stasher design? Or did they just buy it to kill it?

Silicone is created from silica, which is derived from sand. It is not petroleum based.

Ben & Jerrys sold out. Look at the ingredients.
Dave's Bread sold out. Look at the ingredients.
No food company should be charging premium prices for ingredients that are inflammatory or worse - including corn syrup solids, seed oils and sugar alcohols.
    SHAME 😢

It is made with the raw material silica. Silica is derived from sand. You’re welcome.

No it's absolutely not. Petroleum is carbon based. Silicone is silicon based.

I think the Stasher is great. It's like buying a t-shirt made of kevlar instead of hemp or cotton. Neither hemp or cotton has failed or is obsolete but kevlar is clearly the superior material if you are going for strength and quality. The Stasher is made from silicon not cheap (military industrial complex) plastic based material. It's price range is exaggerated because of its unique niche. Once Chinese competitor products start overtaking the original company, the product has reached true maturation. I know something the west will seldom or never understand. I am South African and as such we are part of BRICS. This gives us a less than hostile, altruistic, negotiable and less animosity towards them. We do not want to extinguish Chinese proliferation in the planet. They are our economic colleagues. And this is the only hint I'm leaving the west. Don't blindly listen to your government. I have made professional Chinese relationships and at first they have their fists up but as soon as you let them know you don't see them like an American sees them, they relax and are genuinely okay people. Why I mention the whole Chinese thing is that if this western, Caucasian probably leftist had to take her overly influenced self to China she would have been a billionaire while saving the world FROM CHINA itself, because china makes the plastic.... Duuuuuurrrhhhh😮 wow Americans and westerners, still have a superiority complex. We are all equal, we know y'all paleskins don't like it but hey. Dog bite the hand that feeds and eats with you. What a shame, business wise
