    Long flowy skirts are a blessing when it is hot. Breathable materials are much cooler. I've come to covering my head with a scarf because of the heat. A hijab does center the focus on a woman's face, and I get that. Not into flashing my elderly body parts OR getting them sunburned. Not muslim, however, I like practicality. The first time I saw my friend in her home in a tank and shorts, I almost did'nt recognize her. (she was home ill) Never minded fielding visits from single men, deliveries, etc. She always shared food with me and neither of us had a lot to share. Sharing food when neither have plenty is love.

Then she proceeds to get more validation by wearing less. I think the hijab can look beautiful, and it must be nice in winter, but surely these women must question why they are sweating in summer and how it doesn’t all add up.

    Also I HIGHLY recommend cotton blouses or dresses. They provide excellent coverage but are incredibly breathable! You have to double check in the store because some are a bit translucent because they are thinner, but many are made thicker with full coverage that don’t require another layer and the cotton makes them so light and breezy. And inexpensive. Historically, cotton and linen gowns were very popular so that women could maintain the modesty expected of them but not have a heatstroke with the corsets, and maybe other layers of the time.

      Being a convert, I didn’t used to cover, and there is nothing freeing about having to worry if your legs are shaved, if your hair looks good, whether you are following the trends on the magazines.
      I’m happy to cover now, and I don’t know why anyone cares that they can’t see my legs or my hair. But it does seem to bother some 😂
      Women should respect themselves by not showing off their body to all the men. You will only attract pigs that way. Then you wonder why the guys don’t respect you.

      It’s a religion not a culture. The religion is believing in One God (who created everything including us) without associating any partners with him (Only father, no son or spirit). It’s also actually from God so you get the bonus of going to heaven.

      @@cozettetorres My lesson to you is a simple one. From birth we all have this thought in the back of our minds, this feeling from the bottom of our heart that there is someone out there looking over us. This is our innate belief in God. Just like we know it’s wrong to hurt someone, we know God exists. However society tries very hard to convince us the opposite.
      Think about this very simple example - You see a cake but you don’t know how it got there. I say it just appeared, totally randomly and without anyone making it. What will your response be? You will laugh 😹 You will say look at this beautifully designed, multi layer cake, how could you for one second think it wasn’t made by someone! Likewise, our planet 🌏 is a multi layer cake with our atmosphere, our oceans, land, soil, magma and various layers forming our crust. How can we think this intricately designed thing just come about without cause or purpose? It’s absurd!
      God created the universe, humanity and much much more. In his infinite wisdom and mercy, he sent for us guides in the form of Prophets to help us live our best life. The first Prophet was Adam (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him), after that Noah, all the way down to Abraham, Moses, Jesus and finally the last Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Them All). Prophets of God are the best of humanity who lived lives with the best of character and manners as an example for mankind.
      The final Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) was given revelation known as the Glorious Quran. It is the speech of God Almighty, Allah, sent via the Angel Gabriel, Allah’s greatest Angel, with 600 wings encrusted with jewels, to deliver this revelation over 23 years. The Quran is a guide for all mankind so that we can learn and benefit from it.
      Today, the Quran is the only revelation of Allah that is fully and completely preserved. Revelations given to previous prophets have been changed and added to by human beings. However, the Quran is fully preserved. It is passed on generation to generation in the hearts of believers who memorise the Entire Quran! Millions today have the Quran memorised completely and over a billion partially! This is how Allah has chosen to preserve his revelation, a guidance to mankind.
      When was the last time you heard anyone memorise the full Bible in its original language? Does even one person exist that has accomplished such a feat? Perhaps but I personally don’t think so. This is because Allah has made his revelation easy to memorise.
      My advice to you is read the Quran. It is easy to read in simple English (or language of your choice). If you do a google search, you can find very nice looking websites dedicated to the Quran. You can also listen to it played in the most beautiful recitations.
      If you wish to be part of the truth, all you have to do is to testify out loud or in your heart that there is no one worthy of worship except One God (Allah) and Muhammad is his final Messenger. With this, God willing, you become a believer in the truth and are eligible for heaven.
      To us, our greatest gift isn’t heaven but to get the chance to see our Creator, Allah, in the next life. With this, I bid you ado. ✌

      Not Islamiclly speaking. It’s not about what we think (Muslim women) or our opinions, it’s about the rules of the religion (Islam) and that we are obliged to cover by God. The creator of all things. We believe God knows us better than we know ourselves. Hope this helps! 😊
      *Of course people are sinful, and since we have free will, not everyone follows the rules (of the land or religion) or do things according to their own desires. So many Muslims don’t cover and the like.

    • @hm8489
      @hm8489 Год назад +5

      If you decide not to follow the rules of hijab, you would still be a Muslim but sinful for not covering.
      Just like if you decide to drink alcohol, you would still be a Muslim but sinful.
      Once you start dressing more modestly, it becomes second nature.

      Trust me I would never trade anything with modesty. I loveee modesty and wearing covering cloths. I love follow my creator because I can most definitely tell why He asked us to wear modest clothes in the first place.
      Also, I didn't know half of the problems girls around the world had cause I just never had to go through them. Since I don't reveal anything, I don't have to worry about hairy arms if I haven't had time to spend on self ( I do it when I want to). I didn't even know about the whole tanning trend cause it doesn't exist in my country (I live in a Muslim country). I never have to dress up to impress men. Never. I'd never let myself fall down to that level. I have self confidence and never cared about others opinions on how I should look. American literally have to care about the size of their behind, like they are just torturing themselves for the approval of society. There are so many things I can mention but I just want for you to see how stress free of a life we are living.
      If I am free today, mentally and physically, that's all because of Islam cause Allah taught me that I'm enough, you are enough. We are all beautiful and He has made us unique and amazing. So I would never go out someday wearing small revealing cloths. I am not a mannequin on display for free for strangers of all kinds to see.

    • @laurenelizabeth1390
      @laurenelizabeth1390 Год назад +2

      @Rosa indica I never meant to insinuate that it was stressful to be modest. It was more just me wondering if a woman decided they didn't want to wear a head covering anymore or if they wanted to start wearing t shirts or capri pants, could they? There is a heavy population of Muslim practicing people where I live and I have noticed some women wear a head covering and others don't, same goes for tshirts, shorts, etc. I know It's their personal choice but are they locked into that choice? Or can you change that choice if you change your mind later down the road? Like if tomorrow you decided you wanted to show your hair or your arms could you?

    I wonder if the people complaining ever tried our hijab or abaya? It’s actually really comfortable and breathable. Try it. It's like any other clothes (clothes of choice). If it’s cold outside , we wear thicker abayas. And the best part is, we wear it by choice. 😊
