We stayed here in 2017 and we really enjoy the place, very safe, they got shopping place even shows,we see the Circue de Soliej,my grandkids loves it too,and the food is great!!Were planning to come back soon!!
Great video. Everything looked beautiful and very well kept inside and out. The very high prices didn't surprise me but I would agree with you that it is disappointing that no part of the pool goes over your waist.
Hi Jeff, thanks for watching and commenting. It's a beautiful resort. There some drawbacks to it like shallow pools and expense but Vidanta does a great job with the grounds. -Marc
Thank you for reminding me what I dislike about resorts. I was surprised by all the luggage scanning and "control" I suppose they are simply trying to make their foreign guests feel safe? I am in agreement with not really caring about going back to any resort type vacations. I do love Mexico, and especially the less touristy areas where I feel the best.
There was a lot of scanning there and it was the same at the Nuevo Vallarta resort. We love the small towns in Mexico as well as the cities. They're all so unique in their ways. -Marc
@ they don’t call themselves a time share. They refer to themselves as an owners club. The difference being that you don’t pay maintenance fees or property taxes. -Marc
I don't do resorts or cruises but from watching youtube it seems like they are interchangable except resorts take up a lot more real estate and water for pools. Nice video.
Really huge and beautiful resort! I was a bit off-put by the security and luggage hold, not used to that, and the set-up for that was on a grand scale. The breakfast buffet was ginormous, some of the covered dishes Marc showed us I couldn't identify but a lot of the food looked delicious. I've never been to a resort like this and never will, not my cup of tea, not to mention way more expensive than I can afford, lol. Glad you had a good time, too bad you liked the sister resort better.
Looks like a really nice place to stay. We are very spoiled by all-inclusives, so we really hate to get nickel and dimed by everything else in the resort (getting pesoed?). Just love the various lobbies. I have NEVER been to a resort that did that much security scanning on luggage and people before. I wonder if that is relatively new for them or if this is the trend that will hit most resorts.
Vidanta has been doing that kind of security for a while. Vidanta Can be very expensive but you can bring in groceries from outside or get food delivered. The resort is beautiful though with a lot of live entertainment at night. -Marc
I have to give all resorts a hard pass. But looking at flying into Merida and renting an AirBNB at either Progresso or Sisal beach...both an easy drive. Low cost, mellow vibe, less people...
Your not the resort kind of Gal? I do love the small towns in Mexico. They have so much to offer. We went to Progresso beach and it was nice. Never been to Sisal beach. -Marc
We retired and moved from the Austin Texas area and moved to Bucerias just 7 miles north of Vidanta and have lived here full time for going on 5 years, would not spend one Pesos to go to Vindanta who destroyed many Hectors of nature for their greed.
@@TheTwoTravelersInMexico we were staying in grand luxe, the staff was really unfriendly, they kept calling the room over and over and over. My bracelet stopped working so i could not enter my room and they kept me waiting for over an hour. The prices of the drinks at the pool were through the roof 34 euro for 2 pina colada. And to top it all they forced me to put my camera bag through their cheap ass xray thing and that corrupted my SD card so i lost a week of photos and they just did not care they only got mad cause i did not wanted to do that and after i told them they ruined my card they did not wanted to talk about replacing it. And for a hotel of this stature claiming they accommodate loads of Americans they barely spoke english. We booked a 3 person room and i slept on a couch and the water in the shower took literally 15 minutes to get warm. They try really hard to be something that they are not next time i am going to xcaret again like i should have done

Not to mention $30 each FOR BREAKFAST? When we were in Mazatlan I remember thinking $30 seemed like a lot for 2 people for brunch WITH drinks... WTH?

@@TheTwoTravelersInMexico huge plus! My friend opted out of her timeshare due to the monthly fees and limited good condos to choose from.

I can see why you say that. Thats a good analogy. -Marc

It is a big resort for sure. The security was similar to going through an airport. It's expensive but a beautiful resort. -Marc

Looks really nice, but I am not so sure an all inclusive is in my budget.
It is really nice. Not all inclusive though and the food was expensive. It’s also a little remote so you’ll need a taxi to go off site to eat. -Marc
