Project name: Breast cancer detecting Jacket
The proposed design is a smart jacket for women that aims to detect breast cancer at an early stage. The jacket incorporates sensors that can detect physical symptoms associated with breast cancer, such as lumps. By wearing the jacket, women can monitor their breast health and receive early warning signs of any potential breast cancer issues.
Breast cancer is a leading cause of cancer death among women worldwide, and the incidence of breast cancer is increasing in India. According to the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2020, it is estimated that there were over 1.7 million new cases of breast cancer worldwide, and over 627,000 deaths due to the disease, making it the most common type of cancer in women. As for India in 2022 , breast cancer accounts for 14% of
cancers in women, and with every four minutes, an Indian woman is diagnosed with breast cancer. This innovative solution has the potential to improve early detection rates and ultimately improve outcomes for women with breast cancer. By detecting breast cancer symptoms earlier, women will have more time to receive treatment and increase their chances of survival.
