Boy, I've been a CT3 supporter from the get-go ... and I appreciate everything he's done for us ... but, yeah, he ain't one of the 13 best guys we can put out there right now. He's been given a MORE than fair shot. He hasn't produced. Life in the Big City, my friend.
I agree that they need to continue giving Kiké and CT3 AB's and reps (Pages too although has a bit less of urgency). It's the only way they'll able to decide which of those they'll carry in playoffs.
Looking forward to next year we need to move Lux. We can't use an everyday second baseman that can't hit both lefties and righties. That moves Mookie back to second full time where he really wants to be. Sign Teoscar in right field. Everybody seems hot on giving Dalton Rushing a shot at Left field so why not. Either get a shortstop and leave Edman in center or if Edman can play a decent shortstop move him there and trade for a centerfielder in the offseason. That Crow- Armstrong kid looks pretty good! Ha Ha. Anyway, as much as I like Lux he just seems to be a roadblock in the bigger picture. Go Dodgers!!!
Mookie the second base and Paul has plays right field. It’s an easy choice. The Dodgers need to get this right because a lot of teams have lefties and will try to play them against the dodger lineup.
I don’t like the platoon. Neither Seager or Turner were platooned and Andrew Friedman chose Lux over both of them. So I take it they he felt Lux was better than both. So why platoon him?
It’s not about better. It’s about more efficient. The Dodgers don’t really miss Seager or Turner and they both too often didn’t even come through for the Dodgers. Where is Texas this year. Below .500. Seager costs way too much. If the Dodgers signed Seager then it would have cost them over 300 million. And yes, Ohtani is worth 700 million. He pays for himself and much of his salary is deferred. Turner is currently at 105 games played so he’s clearly not been healthy. He has 15 stolen bases. That’s it. Nobody could have predicted Lux’s torn ACL either and he’s recovered quite well. Lux make a little over 1 million per year. He’s a total bargain.
I like Chris Taylor and want to see him on the payoff roster, but he should shorten his swing. He keeps using that big sweeping swing and most of the time, it doesn't work. I think he can turn it around with the right swing. Surely he and the coaching staff know this but what are they doing about it?

Makes more sense to platoon Lux and Hernandez.

Lux is the second baseman. Let him play 2nd base!
