That was a beautiful film. Full of interest throughout the journey. I was following it on my Stagecoach app, and as it happened, I picked a bus running at a very similar time. Thanks for putting some of the stop names on the screen. That was a tremendous help.
Another great video of a very picturesque bus route. I last travelled on this route in the mid/late 00’s, on a lwb Leyland Olympian, that I think was the standby vehicle that day, as the newer vehicles were already in service, mind you it still kept to time over those many hills.
wow what a blast from the past.. ( not been home since early 1990s, when the last of my parents passed away) .. back in the mid 60s I was as ticket conductor there in lancaster itself, not long after leaving school (greaves county secondary a school with violent teachers!!).. early 70s worked in grasmere at the Redlion hotel as a aprentice chef.. an past my car driving licence in kerndal.. late 70s lived in ableside, wow bus station moved!??. ( any one who thinks they might know me?? there is no e at the end of my name! grayston.. and Im 71 yrs now )
Watching this in stages; just done the first half hour or so. Some may not know there used to be a 556 as well; a couple of journeys per day diverting via Borwick, (I think) and Priest Hutton. These were withdrawn around 2015/6 and I don't know if those communities are bus served any longer. If anyone knows (minute wise on this video), where they left - and then rejoined - the main route could they be so kind as to let me know please?
buy a bay ranger or similar day ticket, also if you went from lancaster to carnforth, are you really suggesting that is the same fare as lancaster to Keswick for example ?
Took this bus every week day to Kendal College. Best part about the day was the journey. Never gets old.

Lovely bus trip, much enjoyed. Cheers from Australia.
Great video, long journey without a toilet though.
The light frosting of the landscape is just gorgeous
Love the bus rides. The scenery on this one is gorgeous! Watching from Ohio, U.S.

I really enjoye your videos really good mate well done keep up with good work mate
Thanks, great video. As an old PCV driver, I would have loved to do that route rather than an alternate 25 minute one.
Great trip. No camera reflections. I'm curious about your setup. Thanks.

Great if you are travelling the distance not so if you are going a few stops as you pay the same price total rip off
Get an Oyster Card and it's less expensive in'it?
@@madmak9 Oyster card London, not lake district Cumbria

no such thing in Cumbria or indeed anywhere outside London, and I would rather pay higher fares than live somewhere like London !
