Very important to know in my opinion: if you want to have the "front" side in tekla to be correct, in the dwg it happens to be the "right" side of the profile. For example: when you have a cladding profile and you want to have the outside of claddingprofile to be the frontside of the profile or a windowprofile faced on the outside of the window. In the dwg it is the right side of the drawing.
As for the profile with the internal cavities, I could not realize this.

It just looks like a straight line to me. How can I solve the problem?
I tried creating DB beam(DB 8X37 = W12X53 and plate 3X1):as discribed here but the actual model piece and created profile are not matching. I tried scaling up also please advice.
Hi, it would be best if you can send a sample of that file to your local support team - www.tekla.com/contact/offices-and-resellers. It is not easy to troubleshoot through comments. The profile may not 'close' properly. There may be too many radii. There could be extra layers/lines overlapping in the file. Many possibilities, so definitely send the dwg to them along with a clear description/pictures of what is wrong.
The command overkill did the trick for med when I had overlapping lines that where to small to notice.
This is a very handy command in CAD, I only learned about it within the last few months.
How to insert headed anchor
Hello! By defining a custom profile using a .dwg file a warning pops-up every single time, it says "Error while opening a file. Error code 0". What can it be? I tried even to use very simple geometry with just a rectangular, and still, Tekla says gatting troubles with opening this file (error code 0).

@@sublexfx9870 I guess I know already what it can be. I your dwg section file how is you section located in relation to 0,0,0 point?
Save the Autocad file in .dwg 2014 format. Make sure the sketched geometry is a single closed polygon and there are no lines or points overlapping.
We face error msvcp140.dll is missing from your computer.
I would recommend contacting your local Tekla help desk.
How to calculate the reail weight for the sheeting profile.
The weight is calculated automatically based on the volume of the part (cross section X length) and the material grade being used (density). As long as these values are accurate, Tekla will calculate the weight for you. If you are having problems, it would be best to contact your local helpdesk with a sample of the profile you are trying to use.
David Hiddemen sometime bracing component connection where I draw manually plate, (for example column rafter knee joint) the manual plate position can not take the auto connection.so how to solve it without dummy plate. Please give a answer.
Hello! What have to do if Tekla isn't reading my DWG file?
There are a few things you can try. Save down to an older version of DWG (2010 is a good one). Try to do a purge and explode any blocks.
